MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

•  RN license, issued by the PA Board of Nursing.
• CPR Certification - American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support, formerly Healthcare Provider (AHA Heart Saver courses for CPR are not accepted) required within 30 days of hire.
• Urgent Care and NSA positions require BLS Certification.
• A health care provider in good standing with Medicare, Medicaid, and other federal and state health insurance programs, i.e. not excluded from participation in Medicare, Medicaid or any other federal or state health insurance program.
• This role requires occasional regional travel.  Ability to travel to multiple sites is required.

POSITION SUMMARY:

Phlebotomists are vital in the production of clinical laboratory results.  It is their responsibility to obtain quality blood specimens which play a crucial role in in a majority clinical decisions.  In addition to a knowledge of anatomy, blood collection techniques, proper infection control procedures, phlebotomists must have strong communication and interpersonal skills reflecting the utmost professionalism. (This job description is applicable to Penn Medicine/Lancaster General Health Phlebotomy Technician positions assigned within the Lancaster General Hospital (inpatient) and at the Womens & Babies Hospital (WBH).

HOURS: Full Time (36 hours/week) Evening Shift. Hours between 2:30 pm and 11:00 pm. Every other weekend and holiday rotation. On -call rotation.

LOCATION: Lancaster General Hospital Lab- Lancaster, PA

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Qualified individuals must have the ability (with or without reasonable accommodation) to perform the following duties:

• In a hospital inpatient setting, performs venipuncture and capillary puncture blood collection according to laboratory policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.  This includes Intensive Care Units, Medical Nursing Units, Emergency Department, and Trauma Bay.

• Optimizes patient care by providing timely and accurate collection of blood specimens on both pediatric and adult patients.

• Maintains patient safety by accurately identifying patients and associating the collected sample with the patient.

• Follows all proper organizational Infection Control procedures and isolation protocols, including but not limited to Airborne, Droplet, and Contact Isolation.

• Uses technology such as computer applications to organize and facilitate efficient patient care.

• Carries out lab testing at the bedside with point of care testing devices including performance, evaluation, and trouble shooting of quality control on bedside analyzers.

•Identifies and resolves problems within area of expertise.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• RN Licensure is required, issued by the PA Board of Nursing or a Temporary Practice Permit until an RN license is obtained.
• Individuals with Temporary Practice Permits must sit for their NCLEX within 60 days of starting in their RN role.

• A graduate registered nurse may only practice professional nursing under supervision and if the graduate registered nurse

Job Title: Nuclear Medicine Technologist (PT/days)

This position is located in Lancaster, PA

SIGN ON BONUS: $4,500 (EXTERNAL CANDIDATES ONLY)

Part-time, 0.5, 40 hr per two weeks working Monday through Friday varying shifts between 5:30 am-6:00pm with rotational on call eve/weekends/hol after orientation is complete.

POSITION SUMMARY: Provides radiological care for the purpose of diagnostic and/or treatment of anatomic physiological disorders within the Nuclear Medicine section.

• Responsible for adhering to all radiation safety regulations as established by regulatory agencies.

• Monitor all hospital premises, grounds and parking facilities for security concerns and any potential safety hazards.

• Monitor all parking areas and associated traffic flow on Lancaster General property.

• Investigate reports of unauthorized persons on hospital property

• Assist staff with unruly visitors and patients

• Assist with training and orientation of new Security staff.

Penn Medicine Lancaster General Health Physicians – Hospitalist Group is seeking a night shift Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to expand upon an already well established hospitalist program composed of over 40 advanced practice providers and 50 physicians where you will work side by side with our physicians as clinical colleagues. 

As part of our hospitalist team you have the opportunity to practice within a well-supported environment to coordinate and provide medical care for hospitalized patients with the care team. The hospitalists program has service lines that extend to include inpatient, observation, rehab and a dedicated nocturnist team.  This night shift APP role would focus on new admissions and new consults, plus providing cross coverage for all Hospitalist patients at Lancaster General Hospital and Lancaster Rehab Hospital.

Hours:  Fulltime, night shift.  7 on/7 off schedule (Mon-Sun OR Tues-Mon), working 10 hour shifts from 9:00pm-7:00am and 10:00pm-8:00am.

If Nurse Practitioner:

• Valid Pennsylvania licensure as a Registered Nurse
• Certification by ANCC or other qualifying agency in area of specialty required.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Current licensure as a Registered Professional Nurse is required, issued by the PA State Board of Nursing.

• Three (3) years of clinical experience in related clinical field.
• One (1) year of leadership experience.

Sign on bonus for external candidates only: $4,000

.8 FTE, 32 hours per week. 2nd and 3rd shift as needed between the hours 2pm-7am. Every other weekend rotation and 2-3 holidays per year. On call rotation.
