Are you an experienced General Foreman/Foreperson with a commitment to excellence and a track record of successful project delivery, my clients are expanding our team and seeking a dynamic General Foreman to join them across the North West.
Position Overview: As a General Foreman, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and coordinating heavy civils, highways, and earthworks projects in the North West. You will be responsible for managing on-site activities, ensuring the highest standards of safety, quality, and efficiency are maintained throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate day-to-day operations on construction sites, focusing on heavy civils, highways, and earthworks.
- Implement and enforce safety protocols to ensure a secure working environment for all team members.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure project goals are met within the specified timelines and budget.
- Monitor and control resources, including labor, equipment, and materials, to optimize project efficiency.
- Conduct regular site inspections to identify and address potential issues, ensuring compliance with project specifications.
- Provide leadership and guidance to the site team, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Maintain accurate project documentation, including daily reports, progress updates, and incident reports.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a General Foreman in heavy civils, highways, and earthworks projects.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, safety protocols, and project management principles.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting construction drawings and specifications.
- Familiarity with relevant construction equipment and technology.
- Relevant certifications in health and safety (CSCS, SMSTS) are desirable.
