As Catering Manager for Sodexo at Bridlewood Primary School, Swindon, SN25 2EX, you will be contributing towards the smooth running of a fast-paced food and beverage operation. You will be responsible for showcasing what the kitchen supplies, presenting it in the most eye-catching way possible, ensuring we are offering the best service possible. As well as this, you work no unsociable hours and get public holidays off… including Christmas!

What you do:
- To comply with all the legal and hygiene requirements.
- To prepare and present food to the company’s standards, utilising recipes from the central system and to have full knowledge of all allergen information prior to service
- Place Orders using Online Portals
- Commence a Weekly Stock Take
- To ensure that the Company\'s accountancy, documentation and administration procedures are carried out to the laid down standard and that the necessary weekly returns are completed accurately and sent to the appointed office on time. This may be electronically, paper-based, or both, as instructed. To control and monitor the financial performance of the unit and to maintain costs within pre-budgeted targets.
- To receive any training as is necessary to maintain the standards in the establishment.
- To undertake all aspects in the cleaning of equipment – walls (up to 6ft), floors, fixtures and fittings, to the companies’ standard according to the cleaning rota as required and directed.
- To ensure work areas and equipment are left clean.
- To assist in loading service counters, as and when directed, and to ensure enough supplies throughout the service period, paying attention to the minimum style guide standards and implementation of all current marketing offers and promotions.

- To accept deliveries, recording necessary temperatures and putting away as set out by Safeguard and your line manager.
- To ensure a high standard of personal and general cleanliness and hygiene to comply with statutory and company regulations.
- To assist, from time to time, at special functions, some of which may occasionally occur outside working hours.
- To report immediately any incidents of fire, theft, loss, damage, unfit food, or other irregularities and take such action as may be appropriate or possible.
- To relieve in other local units from time to time during sickness
- To report any customer complaints and act, if possible.
- To attend any reasonable requests made by the Manager.

**Equated pay (sometimes known as spread-over pay) is a method of paying you for your contracted hours, working weeks and holiday pay spread over 12 months instead of just receiving pay during the months that you work and none during the school closures/non-working weeks.
