- Interact with clientele to establish user needs and/or requirements to devise appropriate search strategies to handle complex subject matter.
- Provide official library tours for visiting foreign and domestic civilian and military dignitaries.
- Direct the training of library staff on the use of all library automated systems to ensure full utilization of various in-house and/or commercial databases.
- Oversee library staff assignments related to the program planning and/or coordination of technical and public services.
- Stay abreast of changes and/or trends in information resources, library services, and technology to make related recommendations to promote state-of-the-art research capabilities.
- Draft organizational policy and/or procedures for implementation of guidance from higher level authority providing advantages and disadvantages of different approaches.
