Job Overview
-To manage a team of Operational Supervisors and Cleaning Operatives to ensure we deliver the service level requirements for the contract.



The job holder will be responsible for ensuring compliance in line with the BICS industry standards as well as ensuring all Health and Safety requirements associated with the working environment are adhered to.



Your leadership will drive operational excellence, innovation, and customer satisfaction.



Main Duties

-Manage resource levels via Mitie's Recruitment processes in line with the contracts resource plans and operating model

-Carry out all aspects of people management activities, such as Probation, Induction, Absence Management, Development Planning, Disciplinaries and Grievances.

-Manage and oversee the budget for consumables and orders via the internal process.

-Perform regular inspections and Manager in the Field Walk rounds of working areas.

-Review of audits performed by the Operational Supervisor to ensure client compliance, standards and expectations.

-Be a point of contact for client related enquires and requests.

-Provide training and guidance to Operational Supervisors on toolbox talks, risk assessments briefings and on the job refresher training.

-Champion change through innovative practices and continuous improvement will be second nature to you.

-When customer complaints arise, your effective handling will ensure swift resolution.

-Provide support and guidance regarding safe operation of machinery and equipment, cleaning standards and general health and safety practices including issuing of PPE and lone working arrangements.

-Proactively participate in furthering your team's and your own development, by maintaining growth in skills and knowledge deemed essential to the role.

-Efficiently managing work hours is essential to ensure seamless service delivery. You'll generate monthly reports and collaborate closely with our valued customer.

What we are looking for
-The ideal candidate will have previous experience in strong people management skills, familiarity with customer audits, and a proven ability to lead and collaborate with a diverse workforce are essential attributes.



Competent in the application of MS systems.



Previous experience of working within a facilities Management function is desirable, but not essential.



Individual must have a qualification/experience in line management or equivalent.



Must hold current driving licence and able to achieve SC Clearance.

Grafter currently has a client looking to fill a role with the following description: I am looking for a general labourer to work at a rate of £150 per day to assist a builder with general labouring including blockwork on a new build extension. You must be strong and deliver a good days' work - solid 7 hours of graft with minimum fuss and high attention to detail. Will pay cash at the end of each day. Probably 3-4 days' work.

Grafter currently has a client looking to fill a role with the following description: My new ceilings have been painted already. I need someone with superb attention to detail to use a light to identify and reveal all the imperfections and sand down properly before the final coat of paint.

In addition, I have 4 window old boards that need sanding, old caulk to be removed and new professional caulking around the edges - this is a small task.

Finally, I need my old staircase (rail) to be sanded and ready to be painted. The beading around the staircase needs filling with good wood filler as there are cracks. Similarly the staircase has the odd chip that needs filling and sanding down.

We are looking for someone to perform a Cleaners role for us at a state of the art police training facility. You will preferably be good with your hands, have a good general health, be capable of undertaking cleaning activities to a written safe system of work and be able to prioritise your work load.

The position will be full time with possible shift work, including weekends as required.

All applications will require Police Security Vetting and any position offered will be probationary until such time the applicant completes the vetting process (this can take up to 16 weeks). Responsibilities

-To work within the maintenance team, carrying out cleaning duties effectively in accordance with contractual requirements.

-To have full understanding of the designated cleaning schedule and work spec for the allocated areas.

-To have full knowledge of all cleaning equipment, materials and approved chemicals used within the building.

-To follow company's health & safety procedures within the course of the role

-To undertake any relevant training.

-To report any defects to the Cleaning Supervisor.

-To understand and follow site rules & procedures.

In your new role as a Cleaning and Changeroom Operative you will be working on a 4 shifts on and 4 shifts off rota, you duties will include but not restricted to cleaning, laundry duties and stock control/ordering.

You will be based on the Sellafield site in Cumbria, You will be working in various building on the site.

You will be doing day shifts and night shifts.

What you'll need to succeed
Experience of cleaning. Ideally, candidates will have come from: cleaning manager, cleaning supervisor, Facilities Manager (soft services scope), operations manager (cleaning focused) and so on. A 5 yr UK work history (SC clearance). A driving licence or a reliable way to get to the site as there is no public transport that goes to the site.
