• You will provide case assessment, legal advice, legal briefings, and representation to Sailors and Marines who are undergoing the DES process.
• You will serve as the subject matter expert in this complex and constantly evolving practice area.
• You will independently conduct legal research pertaining to medical issues; conduct examination of witnesses; provide case assessment, legal advice, and recommendations to the Service member in support of the case.
• You will prepare legal memoranda in support of board proceedings; and may represent Sailors and Marines during the informal and formal PEB hearing process and in subsequent appeals processes.

• Participate in and chair major mission integration meetings involving highly complex technical, programmatic, and business criteria concerned with all aspects of the integration of spacecraft to launch vehicle.
• Responsible for day-to-day technical management of all aspects of mission integration including analytical studies, trade studies, engineering evaluations, contract management, change processing, change negotiations, budget formulation and execution.
• Assure assigned missions receive technical/administrative support to assure mission success. Missions include advanced planetary programs and Earth-orbital missions, some with potential military, commercial, or international cooperative applications.
• Prepare presentations for mission status reviews. Represent the Launch Services Program (LSP) at these reviews and present status of the launch vehicle and/or spacecraft systems, delineating problem areas and feasible solutions.
• Responsible for the management/development of mission-unique hardware and software to support mission requirements. Lead a multi-discipline team responsible for the integration of the spacecraft to launch vehicle.
• Develop/execute resource requirements to provide launch service with mission guidelines. Organize mission readiness reviews for senior NASA management. Participate in launch preparations, the launch, and subsequent flight operations as required.
• Resolve highly technical, complex compatibility problems between the various systems and/or organizations associated with the mission.
• Manage in-house mission trade studies/system analysis in support of NASA initiatives/activities. Perform independent technical checks on contractor, commercial, or other government generated mission studies to evaluate future mission feasibility.

About the Position

In this role you will be responsible for...

Communication/Programming/Outreach

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with community partners, local non-profits, and other County departments.

• Assist with a calendar of scheduled visits of our outreach vehicle, to sites across Sarasota, especially those serving children, seniors and underserved populations throughout the County.

• Analyze and identify service population needs, and develop plans to meet those needs.

• Promote the understanding and use of the library and its resources.

• Offer outreach services in coordination with team members and Library System Staff.

• Plan and direct library programming for adults, young adults, and children, in coordination with team members and Library System Staff.

• Provide formal/informal instruction to individuals/groups on use of library resources, learning tools, etc.

• Initiate, design, facilitate and evaluate education programs; collaborate on activities and programs related to pop-up library services and community goals.

• Load and unload book trucks on the Pop-up Library vehicle and drive the vehicle to outreach facilities.

• Perform collection development and maintenance for the Pop-up Library vehicle.

Customer Service

• Develop and implement standards of service that ensure the prompt and efficient resolution of each inquiry by internal and external customers, delivered with the utmost respect and courtesy.

• Recommend informational resources and materials for education and enrichment.

• Present individual and group training programs for public in the use of technology and equipment, and library resources.

• General reference service in assisting customers by locating answers to questions, including Interlibrary Loan services and referral to agencies outside the library.

• Keep abreast of developments, new trends, and innovations in libraries.

• Represent Sarasota County to library users.

Administration

• Integrate research and monitor patterns and trends into planning process.

• Assist, lead, develop, implement, and /or evaluate special projects, services and library programs.

• Collaborate with internal core services to manage operational issues, support community goals and form strategic partnerships.

• Assist with collecting statistics and outcome measures to evaluate goals for the unit.

Staff Development

• Participate in cross training in other sections and aid in cross training in their section.

• Attend agency, system-wide, local, regional, state, and national meetings and workshops to enhance professional skills.

• Participate in the development of goals and/or objectives for the Outreach Services Team. 

Work Hours:

• Full-Time, 40 hours per week.

• Must be available to work: Sunday - Saturday, 8:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m.

• Work schedules may vary due to split shifts, rotations, on-call, emergencies, etc.

• Employee may be re-assigned to a different work location (other than original assignment) within the library system to meet changing service needs.

About You

Minimum Qualifications:

• Masters degree in Library and Information Science.

• -OR- Bachelors degree and enrolled in a MLS/MLIS program with the ability to obtain a MLS/MLIS within twelve (12) months of hire.

• Valid Florida Driver's License by date of hire.

Preferred Qualifications:

• One (1) year of experience in a library environment.

What You’ll Get to Do:

You will support our Navy customer by providing administrative, office management and clerical support for records management utilizing a document imaging production operation, perform record maintenance and corrections, provide customer support, and analyze the system for improved performance or corrective action. You will directly support the process of receiving digital and hardcopy (paper), document preparing, scanning, validation, and verification to place valid, authorized documents into Navy personnel records.

GENERAL OVERVIEW:

The Mental Health Professional will provide clinical treatment services to the targeted populations. This is an outpatient treatment program designed to service patients with a mental health diagnosis who meet dimensions for outpatient and/or partial hospitalization treatment criteria.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Creates a treatment plan for physicians that includes an effective continuum of therapeutic, supportive and other services for the patients with a variety of needs and diagnoses serviced by the program. (40%)
• Discusses need for additional services with the clinical team to determine appropriateness of recommendations. Refers patients to other levels of care, community based self-help programs for recovery or other community social or human services as needed. (10%)
• Documents all assessments, treatment sessions, contacts, case management and other work done on behalf of patients according to  institute and regulatory guidelines. (10%)
• Participates in the quality assurance and performance improvement activities of the program. (5%)
• Track when BH Treatment Plans are due for an update and inform the physician. (10%)
• Acts as a liaison, both internally and externally, to professional services to ensure patient care requirements are met. Participates in external and internal meetings as assigned. (5%)
• Conducts assessments of new patients using the identified format for documentation and clinical decisions regarding treatment, interventions and referrals, as instructed. Implements, improves, and adapts concepts, models, and constructs of treatment for application in service delivery to patients. (20%)
