Job Introduction
As General Assistant for Sodexo at Sevenoaks School, High street, Sevenoaks, TN13 1HU, you will be contributing towards the smooth running of a fast-paced food and beverage operation. You will be responsible for showcasing what the kitchen supplies, presenting it in the most eye-catching way possible, ensuring we are offering the best service possible. What you do:

Assisting with food preparation tasks such as chopping vegetables, preparing salads, sandwiches and snacks,
Serving on food counters during meal services or events.
Support setting up dining areas, arranging tables and chairs, laying out tableware and utensils
Pre and post service cleaning and set up of counters and dining areas
Interacting with students and staff courteously and helpfully, responding to inquiries about menu items, dietary restrictions, or special requests, and aiding with food and beverage selection.
Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards in kitchen areas, dining spaces, and food service equipment
Assisting with inventory control by monitoring stock levels of food supplies, beverages, and disposables, notifying supervisors when items need to be replenished, and ensuring proper storage and rotation of perishable goods.
Adhering to food safety standards and health regulations to ensure safe food handling practices, proper sanitation, and cleanliness in compliance with local health codes and regulations
Working collaboratively with kitchen staff, servers, and other catering team members
Being flexible and adaptable to handle diverse tasks and responsibilities as required by the demands of the business, including working varied shifts, weekends, and holidays.

Millfield School is seeking a dedicated and proactive General Office Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will be instrumental in providing essential support to our staff, ensuring the smooth operation of our school's administrative functions.

As a General Office Assistant you will provide administrative support, coordinate with various departments, maintain records, deal with the incoming and outgoing mail, and deliver excellent customer service.

This is a year-round position working 9am-5pm Monday to Friday. The Orchestra Librarian / Assistant Orchestra Librarian works in the Orchestra Library and is responsible for the procurement, preparation, and upkeep of music materials – printed sheet music in both hard copies and digital files – required by the various musical groups of the Singapore Symphony Group (SSG). The position holder will also be required to maintain the database of all musical works that have been, or will be, performed by SSG, and to provide and update pertinent information on these works.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Procure music materials required for performances by purchase, hire or loan. This includes confirming with Artistic Director and/or Conductor the correct editions to be used.
• Prepare music materials by proofreading, editing, and marking scores and parts. This includes working with Conductors and Musicians to prepare materials according to specified requirements.
• Provide music materials for Musicians’ use with sufficient lead time before the first rehearsals, as well as scores for Conductors, Instructors, and external AV vendors.
• Manage the collection of musical works in the Library by cataloging and filing them properly. This includes checking the physical condition of the materials.
• Maintain the database of musical works in the Central Planning System (ArtsVision), by ensuring Work Titles, Instrumentations, Durations, Editions, and other relevant information are correct and up to date.
• Perform rehearsal and concert duties by ensuring correct set up of music materials (in folders) on stage before rehearsals and concerts, as well as proper strike of folders after certain rehearsals and concerts. This includes staying on during rehearsals and concerts to provide assistance to musicians as well as other admin colleagues.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum diploma holder with 1 year of work experience
• Knowledge of music theory and interest in classical music
• An eye for accuracy and attention to details
• Flexibility to work nights and weekends when needed
• Effective oral/written communication skills
• Proficiency in computer and computer software, e.g. Microsoft Office suite
• Proficiency in Sibelius or other music notation software is a plus
• Team player and ability to work well with a variety of personalities
