Roles in both inpatient and community services are available, either separately or integrated. Responsibilities include: • Providing an advanced standard of clinical care through the provision of assessment and treatment services to individuals presenting with psychiatric, alcohol and other drug, emotional and/or behavioural disturbances to facilities within the Mackay Hospital and Health Service, including those being treated under the Mental Health Act (2016). • Supporting ongoing education within the mental health service through the supervision and teaching of junior medical staff and medical students. Compromising of an acute mental health inpatient facility with 24 beds and a Step-Up Step-Down Unit with 10 beds. Community Mental Health Services include an Acute Care Service, Consultation Liaison Psychiatry, Continuing Care Team, Mobile Intensive Rehabilitation Team, Early Psychosis service ages 16-25, Child and Youth Mental Health, Older Persons Mental Health and Alcohol & Other Drugs Services. There is also opportunity for involvement in community and inpatient services to clients managed and supported on forensic orders. The rural communities are serviced by outreaching community teams in the surrounding areas. Based within a vibrant regional centre in tropical North Queensland, servicing a population of over 180,000. Voyages Indigenous Tourism Australia requires 1 worker to work within our housekeeping department as an Assistant Executive Housekeeper assisting the Executive Housekeeper in providing the hotel with clean, well maintained accommodation that meets company standards through professional, timely and quality services, and to ensure that business plans and budget requirements are met in accordance with specified time frames and standards advised by senior management located in Yulara, NT.

The day-to-day duties may include:

• Provide effective staff management to ensure daily operational requirements and financial budgets are met through effective allocations of work for staff.
• Maintain daily cost control ensuring costs are minimised and profit generation is maximised by achieving good productivity.
• Oversee the setting of projects as directed by the Executive Housekeeper, to room attendants and supervisors e.g., regular spring cleaning, mattress rotation, carpet shampooing etc.
• Manage the department in the absence of the Executive Housekeeper


You will be required to use tools and equipment such as computers, work individually and in a team with others, and have the ability to work quickly and with accuracy.

The work is physical, and you may be required to work in a harsh desert environment with temperatures that range from 12 to 45 degrees Celsius.

You will be employed on a full-time basis of $32.98 per hour under the terms and conditions of the Voyages Indigenous Tourism Australia Pty Ltd Enterprise Agreement 2016 (Managerial) and receive a minimum of 38 hours per week.

The work is usually performed between the hours of 06:00 to 23:00, Monday to Sunday as this role requires shift work, weekends and Public Holiday’s.

Work is expected to commence on or around March 2025 for a period of 12 months.

Experience is preferred but not essential, as training will be provided. Successful candidates may also have the opportunity to learn and acquire additional skills during their employment.

Candidates should be motivated and be able to learn quickly.

Eligible Applicants who move to Queensland from an interstate or international jurisdiction to take up permanent or temporary greater than 12 months employment may receive up to $20,000 incentive payments under the Queensland Health Workforce Attraction Scheme

Remuneration:

You will receive a competitive remuneration package value up to $473,683 p.a., comprising salary between $182,106 - $266,677 p.a. (L13–L27), motor vehicle allowance, professional development allowance, professional development leave 3.6 weeks p.a., professional indemnity cover and private practice arrangements.? Overtime and on-call allowances will be negotiated with the successful applicant upon appointment. Superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) will be applied additionally to the total remuneration value. (Permanent Full Time position, 80 hours p.f.)
