Job Overview
-To manage a team of Operational Supervisors and Cleaning Operatives to ensure we deliver the service level requirements for the contract.



The job holder will be responsible for ensuring compliance in line with the BICS industry standards as well as ensuring all Health and Safety requirements associated with the working environment are adhered to.



Your leadership will drive operational excellence, innovation, and customer satisfaction.



Main Duties

-Manage resource levels via Mitie's Recruitment processes in line with the contracts resource plans and operating model

-Carry out all aspects of people management activities, such as Probation, Induction, Absence Management, Development Planning, Disciplinaries and Grievances.

-Manage and oversee the budget for consumables and orders via the internal process.

-Perform regular inspections and Manager in the Field Walk rounds of working areas.

-Review of audits performed by the Operational Supervisor to ensure client compliance, standards and expectations.

-Be a point of contact for client related enquires and requests.

-Provide training and guidance to Operational Supervisors on toolbox talks, risk assessments briefings and on the job refresher training.

-Champion change through innovative practices and continuous improvement will be second nature to you.

-When customer complaints arise, your effective handling will ensure swift resolution.

-Provide support and guidance regarding safe operation of machinery and equipment, cleaning standards and general health and safety practices including issuing of PPE and lone working arrangements.

-Proactively participate in furthering your team's and your own development, by maintaining growth in skills and knowledge deemed essential to the role.

-Efficiently managing work hours is essential to ensure seamless service delivery. You'll generate monthly reports and collaborate closely with our valued customer.

What we are looking for
-The ideal candidate will have previous experience in strong people management skills, familiarity with customer audits, and a proven ability to lead and collaborate with a diverse workforce are essential attributes.



Competent in the application of MS systems.



Previous experience of working within a facilities Management function is desirable, but not essential.



Individual must have a qualification/experience in line management or equivalent.



Must hold current driving licence and able to achieve SC Clearance.

Your new role
Cleaning Manager, you will deal with the hr related duties of the role (performance, grievances, rota's, training etc). Work with the operations manager to ensure the site is clean and secure. Managing the portfolio, which is a large building. Updating stakeholders.

What you'll need to succeed
Experience of cleaning. Ideally, candidates will have come from: cleaning manager, cleaning supervisor, Facilities Manager (soft services scope), operations manager (cleaning focused) and so on. A 5 yr UK work history (SC clearance). A driving licence or a reliable way to get to the site as there is no public transport that goes to the site.
