PURPOSE:

• Collaborate with Fujifilm Business Innovation (FB) Japan Headquarters (HQ) and Asia Pacific (APAC) General Manager (GM) in formulating and executing the Graphic Communications (GC) division’s business strategies in APAC region and towards global expansion
• Oversee product marketing activities in 14 subsidiaries in APAC, ensuring success and outcomes, achieving business targets at maximum productivity and efficiency

RESPONSIBILITIES & TASKS:

Job Description:

In your role as the General Manager of The Wine Distribution Co. ("TWDC"), you will be responsible for providing strategic leadership, and overall management of the day-to-day operations of TWDC. A combination of strong business acumen, emphatic leadership skills, related industry expertise and experience, as well as a deep understanding of the wine distribution and wholesale market in Singapore, are essential in fulfilling the duties of this role.

Responsibilities:

• Work closely with the Group's Core Management team to develop, and execute TWDC's strategic plans in alignment with its objectives and targets
• Identify new market opportunities, trends and emerging consumer preference to drive business development and growth
• Lead a team of Business Development Managers, the Administrative and Marketing team, as well as the Warehouse and Fulfilment team
• Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring smooth and efficient functionality
• Closely monitor financial performance; analyzing variances, and taking pro-active corrective actions when required
• Identify cost-saving opportunities, and implement prudent financial practices
• Lead business development, sales, and marketing intiatives to effectively promote TWDC's products and services
• Foster a collaborative, efficient, and positive work environment for all
• Mentor and focus of development of team members, to promote professional growth and performance excellence by setting clear expectations and goals, providing regular feedback, and managing high employee performance
• Ensure full compliance with industry regulations, licensing requirements, and legal standards
• Stay updated on any changes in the law and regulations that might impact the wine distribution and wholesale business
• Represent TWDC in industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities
• Build and maintain, positive working relationships with all internal stakeholders, as well as with clients, customers, suppliers, vendors, investors and industry associations
• Be exposed to skill-development plans, and ad-hoc tasks beneficial for your development

Requirements:

• Degree / Masters from a recognized institution
• At least 5 - 7 years related experience is required
• Strong knowledge and expertise in wine, sake, and other alcoholic beverages
• Advantageous to have certifications in wine, sake, etc.
• Great communication skills with strong, positive interpersonal skills
• A team player with a strong sense of job responsibility, and a keen eye for details
• Honest willingness to learn and grow with TWDC

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree qualified, ideally in agri-business related field.
• At least 10 years' experience in a sales or business development role with at least 5 years in a senior or management position.
• A good understanding of one or more of the agriculture produces global market analysis
• An existing network with key target clients would be preferred.
• A proven track record in launching new products.
• Display a cohesive ability at interpersonal and communication skills, both verbally and written - in English
• Strong project management skills and ability to think strategically and creatively
• Experience managing multicultural teams, with experience of living and working in Asia looked upon favourably.
• Previous experience in a mid to large size company, as well as in high-growth, fast-paced and dynamic companies and/or teams.
