3. Participates in staff meetings and departmental inservice training. Orients new staff to facilities and equipment as assigned by supervisor/manager. Educates customers on appropriate use of facilities and equipment.

4. Works with other departments in the institution, such as Environmental Services, Security, Transportation, and Construction Engineering, to insure efficient coordination and completion of work that requires involvement by other departments.

5. Responsible for driving, which includes driving and operating large commercial trucks and/or vehicles regulated by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration.  Employee is responsible for performing appropriate safety inspections, assisting with maintaining vehicles in good repair, and completing applicable driving and maintenance logs.  The employee will follow all applicable laws, regulations, and policies related to driving assigned vehicle and promptly report to leadership or appropriate personnel, any vehicle concerns, traffic violations, citations, or accidents.

A Day in the Life…

Reporting to the Associate Director, Programming the incumbent works in a team-based manner with instructors, subject-matter experts and other educational specialists to design courses and learning modules for multi-modal programming (e.g., online, hybrid face-to-face, etc.) for professional and continuing studies varied customers. The Instructional Designer will lead a variety of projects solely and/or by leadership with other instructional designers that will create and/or revise learning materials that leverage a wide range of delivery modes and are supported by the latest research and best practices for adult learners.

As the Instructional Designer, you will:

• Lead the work collaboratively with facilitators and subject matter experts to outline a learning design and development plan and implementation timeline for new projects;
• Oversee all aspects of project management, including assigning tasks to other team members, creating project timelines and coordinating interdepartmental project teams
• Create, implement and oversee a system to track broken and outdated resources and make recommendations to advance the unit;
• Liaise with other developers, designers and production team members (e.g., graphic designers, media designers, production specialists, etc.);
• Develop a standard approach and process for converting learning experiences into multi-modal learning (e.g., in-person to blended or online experiences or vice-versa) by determining the optimal mix of in-person or online content for each experience;

What you need to Succeed…

• College Advanced diploma minimum and/or Bachelor of Education. Consideration will be given to an equivalent combination of education and experience.

The Office of the General Counsel is responsible for the provision of legal services to the University and its officers, directors, administrators, faculty, and staff.  The office provides legal advice and counsel on the broad spectrum of legal issues that arise in the operation of the University.  Working closely with the senior attorneys in the office, the Assistant Counsel is responsible for providing legal advice on a full range of contract, research, technology and intellectual property matters. 

This position is responsible for contract review and drafting, including, procurement contracts, facilities contracts, sponsored research agreements, technology agreements, federal and local government contracts, custom education agreements, and affiliation agreements.  This position is also responsible for research and advising on transactional, research, technology, intellectual property and compliance matters.  This position will serve as a key advisor to the Offices of Procurement, Planning and Facilities, Auxiliary Business Services and Real Estate, among others.

Work Interactions

This position reports to the Vice President and General Counsel and will work day-to-day with the senior lawyers in the Office of General Counsel who are primarily responsible for contract, research, technology and intellectual property matters.

Requirements and Qualifications

Juris Doctorate.  D.C. bar membership (or immediate eligibility for such membership). Three or more years of experience as a practicing attorney and/or judicial law clerk. Broad experience in general corporate matters is required, and familiarity with laws relevant to research, technology, intellectual property, government contracts, and higher education is preferred.  Well-developed analytic and writing skills. Job Description:

The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) is responsible for performing basic care of patients under the general supervision of an RN in the acute hospital setting. The CNA is also responsible for transporting and transferring patients within the medical complex in a safe and efficient manner. The CNA will also assist with data collection to facilitate the delivery of delegated nursing care.

Major Responsibilities:

1. Assists with basic care for patients in the areas of nutrition, elimination, comfort, mobility and safety.

2. Transports and transfers patients within the medical complex using appropriate equipment (ex. LIKO ceiling lifts) and utilizing safety precautions as indicated by the patient's health status.

3. Assists nursing staff in lifting and ambulating patients using appropriate practice guidelines.

4. Transports bodies to the morgue.

5. Maintains environment and equipment and will locate and deliver appropriate equipment to Central Service and Maintenance departments.

6. Works collaboratively with the health care team members to effectively communicate and document accurate information.

7. Demonstrates dependability, organizational skills and effective use of time by setting priorities to complete delegated work within established time frames in accordance with unit CBO/P and unit guidelines.

8. Demonstrates role accountability by adhering to Gundersen Health System Mission statement, policies and confidentiality standards.

9. Assists in the orientation of new personnel.

10. Participates in quality improvement activities in order to continuously improve patient care and unit operations. Participates in CNA meetings and unit staff meetings.
