Our client is looking for a Bid Writer to join their team on bids working across an array of sectors including commercial, accommodation, distribution, healthcare, leisure, industrial and various Frameworks. Within this role, you can enjoy exposure to exciting projects, agile working, progressions opportunities and even more.

You will be joining the close knit Pre-Construction team working closely with the operations and design teams, reporting directly to the Pre-Construction Manager.

Responsibilities of a Bid Writer

As a Bid Writer, you'll contribute to the planned and sustained business growth by creating compelling, quality content for submissions, and proactively support subject matter experts in the bidding process including guidance on writing and content.

Duties of a Bid Writer include:

• Leading & coordinating storyboard sessions to develop tailored content & responses to PQQs

• Assist in the innovation of sharing & presenting information; and applying client bid feedback to future responses to drive continuous improvement.

• Re-working proposal responses from a variety of internal stakeholders & colleagues, such as operations, commercial, legal & HR; and deliver completed proposal responses to agreed deadlines.

• Due to the nature of this role & industry, you'll need to understand and apply public procurement legislation and other relevant policies to written responses.

Requirements of a Bid Writer

This role of Bid Writer is great for you if you:

• Salary up to £45,000 DOE.
• Experience working for a Tier 1 Main Contractor.
• Have a professional writing background, degree related to English Language, and bid writing / management experience.
• Have advanced MS Word & Office skills, and be proficient in desktop publishing & design software such as Adobe InDesign.

An exciting opportunity for a Bid Writer to join a leading Contractor who are looking to double their turnover over the next year. The position offers a lot of career development alongside the opportunity to have a real impact on the development and growth of a bid department within a rapidly expanding company.

The company are leading specialists in the energy sector and are particularly busy within decarbonisation works.

Experience in the energy/construction sector is ideal but not essential as full training will be provided.

Working closely with the Senior Business Development Management team and Director, your duties will include:

• Managing the production of all company submissions including tender quality proposals, pre-qualification proposals, expression of interest proposals and customer information documents
• Support the procurement process by assisting as required with reality checks, interviews and presentations and provision of market intelligence
• Develop a bid strategy to achieve an excellent success rate for company bids by identifying winning themes
• Gather and develop information relating to specific tenders, projects of interest, long term opportunities and market procurement developments
• Identify and suggest actions relating to new procurement and delivery methods
• Set up/maintain best practice library of company submissions, competitor information, performance case studies, procurement/market developments/success/conversion rates
• Provide information as required to the Client's procurement knowledge centre
• Provide efficient feedback to the Business Development and Marketing Manager as required
• To develop a bid strategy to achieve an excellent success rate for company bids by identifying winning themes

Responsible to: Pre Construction Director

Key Duties

The Proposals Writer will successfully respond to OJEU notices, invitations to tender and development bids through the production of high quality PQQs and ITT submissions that are tailored to suit the specific requirements of the enquiry from Client.

As Proposals Writer, you will deliver work winning/bidding excellence to help our client continue to secure a wide range of major projects across our their key sectors, which include (but are not limited to) Student Accommodation,Education, Commercial, Residential, Retail, Industrial and Leisure.

Our client's projects are mostly based in the Central London area, and are delivered for blue chip clients, with project values ranging up to £50m.

You will be able to call upon a wide range of bid winning and writing skills, demonstrating best practice in your approach to developing high quality responses that reflect Client-specific needs.

You will be responsible for understanding tender documents and Client requirements, developing win themes and answer plans, engaging expert contributors, articulating Client-focused solutions. Our client are ideally seeking an individual with a stable employment track record working for UK main contractors, experience within the London construction market would be ideal but is not essential.
