• Discuss edited drafts with authors to explain suggested changes in content or format.
• Tactfully explain reasons for any needed changes to authors to secure their cooperation.
• Review manuscripts to assure consistency, and understand and apply necessary copyright laws and permissions, and analyze conclusions to ensure they are consistent with the facts presented.
• Edit written material for use at national and international medical and scientific meetings in support of the broad mission of the Borden Institute.
• Determine and recommend advisability of reorganization, condensation or deletion, and rewriting to clarify confusing passages, and adjust stylistic and logical approaches, refine research methods, and select appropriate information to present.
• Ensure compliance of reprinted material with copyright law and respond to problems or inquiries relating to assigned manuscripts or policy interpretation.
• Edit entire textbooks with an average of 25 chapters on different subjects, as well as visual technical information including tables and figures.

We are looking for experienced, driven, bilingual Social Media Content Specialists that are available to work a combination of shifts, including days - 8AM - 4PM North American Central Standard Time, evenings - 4PM -12AM North American Central Standard Time, and overnights 12AM - 8AM North American Central Time throughout the week AND on weekends, to join our growing team.

• Review, monitor, moderate, and respond to comments posted to our clients’ social channels (Facebook, Instagram, etc.) on behalf of our clients using their unique brand voice.  

• Craft creative written content to encourage participation and increase engagement across our clients’ social channels.  

• Provide our clients’ audience with an excellent experience through the clients’ social channels.  

• Escalate issues, observations, opportunities, and insights through the relevant channels.  

• Understand our clients’ social media strategy, tone-of-voice, and brand guidelines, to communicate with their audience efficiently. 

• Ensure the online community's safety policies and brand guidelines are being followed by all members.

This is a REMOTE / Work from Home position. Occasional travel may be required. Must be located within the continental United States.

As a Proposal Writer, you will:

• Play a pivotal role in crafting compelling narratives that showcase our company's capabilities, expertise, and successes.
• Write, edit, and produce persuasive strategic content for proposals, corporate databases, sales documents, and other business development-related projects.
• Identify and gather relevant information sources to enrich proposal content, including conducting interviews and research as needed.
• Support initiatives to organize and upload content within corporate databases and archives.
• Work closely with stakeholders, including Subject Matter Experts, to capture concepts, maintain messaging consistency, and ensure alignment with our corporate strategy.
• Proofread and edit your own work and the work of others, ensuring it aligns with in-house and client styles.
• Coordinate multiple simultaneous proposals, create outlines and storyboards to guide content development, and manage proposal plans.
• Collaborate with graphic designers to develop visuals that enhance narrative content.

REQUIREMENTS

• Must have a Bachelor's degree (BA/BS), preferably in English, Journalism, or a relevant field plus a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, additional related professional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
• Requires exceptional persuasive writing skills with the ability to tell a clear and compelling story.
• Must be detail-oriented, with excellent time management skills to thrive in a deadline-driven environment.
• Requires proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
• Must have strong interpersonal skills, ability to build rapport, and work effectively in a team.
• Must be flexible and able to adapt to changing priorities and occasional overtime requirements (including over weekends and holidays, potentially on short notice).
• Requires a commitment to KBR's mission and values.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiarity with SharePoint and Adobe Creative Suite.
• Previous KBR or related federal contractor / industry experience.
