In this role, you will report to Supervisor l, Onsite Services and will work closely with the Avantor’s Lab and Production Services team of over 1,500 on- and off-site expert personnel – and our customers – to perform customized, mission-based lab work and research protocols that help return time back to science.

New Shift: Monday–Friday 4:00AM - 12:30PM
Hourly Rate: $24/hr.

What we’re looking for
· Education: High School Diploma or GED required
· Experience: 2+ years' experience in material handling/inventory replenishment or customer service.
OSHA Right to Know a plus, cross-referencing and inside sales experience a plus, knowledge of scientific products and services a plus
· Collaboration Tool:
Knowledge of Information intermediate computer skills including Microsoft Office with proficiency in Word and Excel.
Utilize various inventory management systems such as SAP, Citrix, and Avantor Inventory Management Systems.
· Preferred Qualifications:
Conform to all company and customer requirements for background checks, health and safety issues, security clearances.
Solid understanding and experience in either shipping, inventory, or purchasing.
Excellent Customer Service Skills; displays a professional can do attitude.
High regard for safety, quality and adherence to protocols, policies and procedures.
Must be able to lift 50lbs
Travel may be required between buildings on-site.

Avantor’s Lab and Production Services team is a crucial part of the Avantor Services group serving over 500 customers in biopharma, pharmaceutical, educational, industrial, and high-tech industries with customizable, flexible solutions and end-to-end laboratory operations support. In this role you will:
Manage inventory of consumables, chemicals, and samples
Ensure accurate inventory control and processing of inventory movements.
Fulfill customer metric reporting requirements.
Provide daily customer service functions related to inventory management.
Communicate effectively with customers regarding inventory inquiries and updates.
Handle backorder reporting and expediting.
Arrange direct factory shipments and provide 3rd party support.
Manage quotes, document control, and resolve pricing issues.
Coordinate shipping of customer materials.
Responsible for handling hazardous materials.
Prepare shipping documentation and packaging requirements.
Interface directly with customer points of contact, purchasing directors, and facility managers.
Utilize various inventory management systems such as SAP, Citrix, and Avantor Inventory Management Systems.
Additional Responsibilities:
Cleaning glassware within the laboratory environment and conducting data collection and analysis on usage rates.
