Job Title: Procurement Manager

Salary: £49,000 to £52,000
Contract Type: Permanent

You will develop and implement procurement strategies, manage high-value and complex contracts, and drive savings and service improvements. The role also involves leading a procurement team, ensuring compliance with public procurement law, and championing social value initiatives. Office attendance is required in Leicester one day a week.

Key Responsibilities:

Essential Requirements:

• Extensive experience in procurement, tendering, and contract management, including high-value and complex projects.

• Experience in driving social value through procurement practices.

• Order picking from stock and processing orders for direct delivery to the Customer which will involve contacting the Customers directly via phone or email.
• Fork-lifting a variety of goods between departments.
• Unloading and loading goods delivery vehicles and thoroughly checking the associated paperwork to the product.
• Raw Materials assistance once trained to assist processing and picking material for the Print dept
• Handling goods-in

What our client is looking for in a Warehouse Operative:

• Previous experience from within a busy warehouse despatch / goods in department - ESSENTIAL
• FLT Counter Balance License - ESSENTIAL
• Clamp truck experience - BENEFICIAL
• IT Literate

The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Daily management of the warehouse, workforce and oversight of all operations.
- Management of the warehouse system, ensuring all assets and equipment are maintained and functioning effectively.
- Work in partnership with the supply chain, procurement, sales, and logistics departments to ensure an efficient operation.
- Report performance to HQ on a regular basis.
- Oversee regular inventory counts, maintaining accurate data.
- Full oversight of security measures, ensuring robust protocols are in place.
- Continually review and update policies and procedures relating to H&S, HR, Security, Asset Management, Procurement, Compliance and Performance.

What we're looking for:
- Fluent in Mandarin.
- Experience as a Warehouse Manager in a large facility.
- Experience of managing department heads, ideally with large headcounts (i.e. above 100 employees)
- Educated to degree level, ideally in a relevant subject, with additional qualifications in H&S and/or related fields.
- Strong understanding of logistics management and warehouse management systems (i.e. WMS)
- Excellent problem-solving initiative, with good understanding of inventory management and procurement processes.
- Strong financial management, budgeting and cost control understanding, from similar warehouse/logistics operations.
- Confident operator who is able to act professionally and efficiently in fast-paced environments.
