As a Procurement Analyst, you will:
- Plan, direct, and coordinate the Acquisition Strategy Review Board (ASRB) oversight program. Oversee the approval of all Major DOT Acquisitions to assess their impact on the Department's budget and operations, ensuring alignment with Secretarial and Administration goals and priorities.
- Develop, edit, and review acquisition policies and memoranda for presentation to the Senior Procurement Executive and other senior officials. Research and present issues objectively, ensuring proposals are consistent with goals and statutory, regulatory, and Departmental policies.
- Serve as a subject matter expert and technical advisor on researching legislation, Executive Orders, acquisition regulations, and other contracting policies and procedures necessary for contract execution.
- Represent the Department of Transportation’s acquisition interests at government-wide groups, panels, and workshops, including the Civilian Agency Acquisition Council (CAAC).
The ideal candidate for this position is a motivated, self-reliant and skilled professional who will assist in leading the Department’s acquisition policy function in an effective, efficient, and ethical manner. The ideal candidate will have excellent analytical, writing, and oral communications skills. These skills should accompany a broad range of experience in the contracting profession, including a combination of operational contracting, experience and/or desire to grow into the acquisition policy formulation and oversight arena.
Starting at $122,198 Per Year (GS 14)
