The role of the Procurement Manager is focused on the lifecycle of Vendors and Supplier Lifecycle Performance in Ariba (enablement). The Procurement Manager will be responsible for the end to end process of vendor onboarding through all appropriate reviews with process flow.  You will review, onboard and maintain Vendor records, generate reports, and communicate on status and changes to the business teams. The Purchasing Manager must possess the ability to work independently and in a team environment. The Purchasing Manager skills include making logical decisions, representing procurement (PR to PO and Vendor Onboarding) in meetings, interacting/communicating with other departments, effectively negotiating internally and externally, and working efficiently in a fast paced environment while managing multiple responsibilities.

The Procurement Manager will interact with the vendors on a daily basis. You will make sure that the vendors are set-up correctly on the  Ariba Network so they can receive purchase orders and submit invoices. This includes a detailed understanding of several systems including Ariba Buying and Invoicing, Ariba Network, Supplier Lifecycle Performance, and SAP.

Your Impact

• Managing team of 5-6 FTEs/CWs
• Cultivate relationships with team and key stakeholders by listening, partnering, and educating teams on how PTP values and strategies will optimize the business
• Lead and manage all aspects of the Indirect PTP function including the development of global strategies, policies, and operations (e.g. supplier risk/onboarding/data master, procurement, compliance, etc)
• Streamline, transform and monitor the effectiveness of the overall operations. Drive PTP continuous improvement, automating processes, and implementing change management activities as applicable

• Perform scoping, fit-gap workshops for projects/enhancements, proposes solutions for key gaps, provide effort estimations and align with business teams
• Ensure that project/enhancements work is delivered to agreed time, cost and quality constraints following the release calendars
• Ensure that developed solutions are peer reviewed, formally documented and signed off by business
• Initiate solution testing to ensure these meet quality standards
• Follow standardized design and development processes to enable cost effective delivery
• Take accountability to ensure adherence with Security and Compliance policies and procedures within Solution Design scope
• Solution Quality; Cost efficiency; Delivery time; Customer Satisfaction; Achievement of KPIs for enhancements
• Global responsibility for SAP design for strategic programs (e.g. IRIS), projects and enhancements.

Key Requirements/Minimum Qualifications :

Experience:

• Proven experience in SAP ECC implementations, detailed process analysis and design, system architecture, technology standards, CSV, GXP and SOX requirements
• Proven experience in understanding of SAP functionality, related business processes and master data in the area of responsibility
• Direct impact on strategic SAP programs and projects to deliver Business & IT strategy
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Able to leverage networks of professionals across functions and business areas
• Understands the competing organizational needs beyond own part of business
• Able to interpret complex information and to influence internal and external peers
• Demonstration of Alcon value and behaviors within the own organization with ability to motivate and energize others
• Proven experience and expert knowledge in SAP ERP in the following modules in order to be able to support the Alcon supply chain business processes:
• Proven experience in understanding of SAP functionality, related business processes and master data in the area of responsibility
• 3yrs minimum exp. Inventory & Warehouse Management IM & WM (mandatory)
• 2yrs minimum Experience Logistics Execution LE (mandatory)
• Experience  interfacing SAP ECC with third party logistics providers (3PL) who may have their own warehouse management / warehouse control systems
• Transportation Management (desired, not mandatory)
• CSV, GXP and SOX requirements - nice to have
• Integration with non SAP systems like MES / Salesforce –nice to have
• Understanding of adjacent models and processes to the above, for example:
  • Integration with Sales & distribution
  • Integration with Finance
  • Integration with Quality Management
  • Integration with Production
• Good understanding of medical devices and/or contact lenses industry is an advantage

Preferred Qualifications/Skills/Experience :

Education:  University degree or adequate equivalent

• Bachelor degree in business/technical and SAP knowledge in specified module(s)/process areas.
• At least 3 to 5years of business consultancy and SAP implementation experience in an international environment specifically in areas of Logistic
• Logistics Execution LE (mandatory)
• 2yrs minimum Experience in interfacing SAP ECC with third party logistics providers (3PL) who may have their own warehouse management / warehouse control systems
• The ability to fluently read, write, understand and communicate in English.
