What’s the role?
We’re looking for an Assistant Store Manager to join our team in Store Location. Reporting directly to the Store Manager, you’ll be a key part of the retail management team, ensuring smooth daily operations. As Duty Manager, you’ll take full responsibility for the store in the absence of the Deputy or Store Manager. You’ll lead from the front, managing everything from recruitment, stock control, and store standards to driving sales and ensuring exceptional customer service.
Your role will include:
• Overseeing store operations when the Store Manager or Deputy Manager is unavailable.
• Maximising sales and driving performance to achieve key KPIs.

This role would suit an individual who has previous experience in a support type role and has been part of a team that has provided procurement support or potentially an individual that has worked in a contract management area. Use of e procurement tender portals is an advantage, the council uses Proactis, so any experience in this system would be an advantage. Experience of procuring or managing frameworks or having a general understanding of how frameworks or dynamic purchasing systems work would be beneficial. Core office hours will need to be worked, the majority of the work will be remote with occasional office working days or meetings in Southampton Civic Centre. The contract offered is for 3 days per week, the clientis flexible and would be happy to discuss the working days, but working some days earlier in the week will be part of the requirement.

Job Description:

• Handling of documentations of incoming shipments, including new stock, checking of B/L (Bill of landing) & commercial invoice againts P/Os for incoming orders.
• Data input of new items/stock into system including the allocation of goods.
• Sorting of goods transfer or good return note (GRN) from outlets.
• Data entry for inventory management
• Prepares basic reporting through the use of Microsoft Office and Warehouse Management Systems to summarize department statistics.
• Liaising with buyers & outlet supervisor on goods transactions/E-orders.
• Generating of picking order (internal D/Os) for outlets and customer.
• To participate in stock taking/Cycle count exercises when required.
• Any other duties and responsibilities involved within the role as assigned from time to time.
