Job Description

We are looking for a warehouse operative for a leading pharmaceutical company based in Speke. As part of this role, you will be undertaking various tasks within the materials management function using a wide range of equipment and techniques with the respect to health & safety and quality assurance ensuring that materials are controlled and managed with full adherence to cGMP and demonstrating a flexible approach to achieve deadlines.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Comply with required standards with respect to documentation, good housekeeping, cGMP, health and safety, timekeeping, regulatory legislative requirements and in accordance with the rules and requirements of the GMP Compliance Rulebook, the Code of Conduct, quality manual and any other company policies and procedures.

• Control and track inventory/transactions and ensure accuracy for all categories of goods.
• To ensure all samples are taken and transferred to the relevant department with the appropriate documentation.
• To ensure the correct operation and ensure maintenance of equipment in the department is performed (e.g. calibration dates) whilst assisting the engineers in their duties.
• Manage control and monitoring of equipment under Warehouse control as detailed in specific SOPs e.g. BAS and freezers.
• To participate in projects as required by their Team Leaders.
• To ensure all daily duties are performed and documented and act as first point of contact if no Team Leader is available.
• Actively manage warehouse activities where appropriate ensuring all tasks are completed compliantly and in a timely manner.
• Train in all appropriate SOP's and MPR's and show a thorough understanding of cGMP
• Manage access, security, monitoring and housekeeping for all areas, ensuring all safety, cGMP, and storage conditions are adhered to.
• Communicate effectively with all levels.
• Ensure personal training record is kept up to date and reflects the range of skill and knowledge acquired
• Generate and perform inventory checks, cycle counts, and reconciliation/investigation as required. Report inventory levels as required
• Work with external service providers/3rd party Supply Chain partners and internal customers e.g.QA, BioCair and DHL to ensure smooth hand-offs.

Requirements and Qualifications

Education

• A good standard of education with GCSE/CSE or equivalent, in English & Maths.
• PC literate
• Forklift truck license (counter balance)
• Driving license essential

Experience

• Previous experience in a GMP environment, preferably within the pharmaceutical industry, is desirable.
• Previous experience of working within a warehouse environment is essential
• Experience of inventory management systems (ERP)

Skills and Knowledge

• To comply with SOP's and always adhere to cGMP.
• To ensure that documentation is completed correctly.
• To always comply WITH HS&E rules and regulations.
• Demonstrate a high standard of hygiene and understanding of cGMP at all times.

Saturday | 14:00 - 18:00 | £14.77 p/h
Saturday | 18:00 - 22:00 | £16.88 p/h

Total Saturday: £126.60/day

Sunday | 14:00 - 18:00 | £15.09 p/h
Sunday | 18:00 - 22:00 | £17.20 p/h

Total Sunday: £129.16/day

Overtime (hours worked over 40h): £15.83/hour

Total values of possible rotas:

• Mon - Fri: £464.20 (EVERYONE works at least one weekend day from the 3rd working week onwards)
• 4 weekdays + Saturday: £497.96
• 4 weekdays + Sunday: £500.52
• 3 weekdays + Sat & Sun: £534.28
• Values above refer to 8h/day shifts

The role is 5 days out of 7 and does include some weekend work. This is a permanent afternoon shift role.

Duties include:

• Picking and packing orders on a LLOP truck using a voice pick system
• This may include some de-kit work (disposal of rubbish returned to us from Coop stores, and disassembling cages)
• Working in the chill chamber of the warehouse (between 2 and 5 degrees)
• Adhering to health and safety regulations

Our client, a leading global FMCG company with brands such as Domestos, Comfort, Persil & Tressemme, are currently looking for Warehouse FLT to work in their prestigious facility in Port Sunlight. This is a Temporary position, with an immediate start with the duration expected to be 3 months (this will be ongoing) The pay rate will be £19.69 an hour on basis of 37.5 hours per week.

FLT licenses that are RTITB or ITSSAR accredited are essential for this role.

Applicants must be available to work Monday to Sunday following a 5-crew shift pattern:

2 x 12-hour days than 2 x 12-hour nights then 6 days off

18 day paid break is built into the shift pattern

During the "off" periods there are requirements to be "on call" if absence cover is required.

We are looking for a highly motivated individual, with the desire to practice and improve their technical skills and knowledge, and who possess excellent problem solving and analytical skills.

Reporting to the Operations Leader, the successful applicant will have a pro-active approach to problem solving and fault finding on a high-speed production line to improve operational efficiency and drive area performance. With a positive attitude to change, they will be able to analyse technical/mechanical problems in the area, research, suggest, communicate, and implement improvement ideas.

The ideal candidate will have an appreciation for the importance of maintaining high quality and hygiene standards and will ensure that they comply with safety standards and adhere to site regulations.

They will be a relationship builder, with the ability to communicate their opinions both verbally and in writing to colleagues and managers alike. They will work effectively within the team to achieve and exceed both factory and team targets set within the business.

Key responsibilities

• Checking Objects, work, procedures, etc.
• Checking completed work to current site quality standards.
• Checking adherence to schedules. Understands benefits of achieving site KPI's.
• Creating good team spirit.
• Analysing/Integrating/Interpreting: Identifying problems in physical process/machinery.
• Breaking down a procedure into logical steps.
• Summarising numerical & verbal information. Reading plans/diagrams.
• Handling information: Entering details into system, ascertaining job requirements.

Required Experience/Qualifications

• Experience within a Production or Manufacturing environment or be able to demonstrate an educational background with Manufacturing or Engineering focus.
• Fault Finding and an eye for detail.
• Previous qualifications and experience within a mechanical or technical environment - advantageous but not essential.
• FLT license essential
• A good standard of IT literacy - highly desirable.
• Knowledge of SAP systems - beneficial.
