Working within the Direct Procurement team, the Strategic Buyer will be responsible for leading on negotiations with suppliers to deliver the best value for money, without compromising on the quality of products or service level. You will be responsible for delivering KPIs relating to cost, quality, service and continuity of material supply throughout the supply chain. Working closely with the Purchasing Manager, you will devise and develop procurement strategies within your category area which will help to achieve company goals and objectives. The Buyer will keep a close working relationship with suppliers and key stakeholders, which will entail semi-regular travel to mainland Europe.
You will strive to reduce risk within the supply chain, which will involve carrying out supplier risk assessments and you will ensure that supply agreements are based upon formal terms and conditions.

• MUST have direct procurement experience
• Extensive experience of negotiating commercial terms with suppliers

We are looking to recruit a Warehouse Operative to join our Chill Department at Manchester Dairy within our Müller Milk & Ingredients business.

The successful candidates will strive to process the most effective and safe way to produce the best quality finished product whilst working to continuously improve in line with the Müller values.

Responsibilities of a Warehouse Operative:

- Manually pack product into trolleys, ensuring the product is fit for purpose and highlighting any non-conformance
- Transport full and empty trolleys across the chill
- Operate and complete asset care/deep cleaning on equipment
- Ensures good manufacturing, housekeeping, hygiene, and health and safety standards throughout their shift
- Part of an effective hand over between shifts, remaining within the chill until a relief takes over

Customer Team Member
Location: The Co-operative Food, 38, Manchester, M4 1QB
Pay: £12 per hour
Contract: 30 hours per week + regular overtime, permanent, part time
Working pattern: 4 varied shifts over 7 days including early mornings from 6am, afternoons, late evenings (store closing) and weekends, to be discussed at interview Role will also include working in our in-store bakery

You must be aged 18 or over to be a customer team member at Co-op, as it requires working before 6am or after 10pm.

As a Customer Team Member, you'll be part of a friendly team that's dedicated to helping our customers. What you'll do
- Friendly and thoughtful service - you'll put customers first in everything you do: responding to queries, championing Co-op products and Membership, working in our in-store bakery and doing all you can to deliver a great shopping experience
- Work together to make everyone's day better - supporting your store colleagues to solve problems for customers and members
- Make sure the store safe and legal - keep the shelves stocked and make sure prices, dates, and temperatures are all as they should be
- Help introduce new products and services - make changes feel natural, sharing experiences with your colleagues so everyone learns together
- Support your local community - get involved in all kinds of activities and events!
