This position is located in the Non-Destructive Inspection Laboratory of an Air National Guard Aircraft Maintenance Group, Maintenance Squadron, Fabrication Flight. This is an Air National Guard (ANG) Dual Status Technician position requiring military membership, compatible military skill assignment, and classification. The primary purpose of this position is to inspect aerospace weapon systems components and support equipment for structural integrity using nondestructive inspection methods and performs fluid analysis.

This position is located in an Air National Guard Aviation Wing, Maintenance Group. The purpose of this position is to supervise, establish and direct a planned, systematic approach of a quality assurance program designed to provide the maintenance managers confidence that aircraft, aircraft systems, products or supporting processes conform to technical, safety, work load and customer requirements. The position serves as the Supervisor of the Quality Assurance Division. In that capacity, the supervisor plans, implements, and executes a quality assurance program that includes independent surveillance and evaluations of all assigned aircraft, aircraft components, and maintenance personnel. Plans, directs, organizes, and exercises control over Quality Assurance Specialists (non-supervisory employees) assigned utilizing a comprehensive knowledge of aircraft to include electronic equipment and systems, manual and automatic flight controls, airframe, landing gear, pneudraulics, and jet engine propulsion, armament, munitions, and associated systems. Applies a comprehensive knowledge of employee relations, management techniques, peer mediation, root cause analysis, trending, and statistical methods. As a Command and Control Specialist, GS-0303-08, you will:

This position is located in an Air National Guard Aviation Wing, Operations Center/Command and Control Section (Command Post or CP) of an F-15 or F-16 Fighter Wing that supports North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) alert tasking to include homeland defense, air defense, and conventional missions. The purpose of the position is to: provide command, control, communications, and information support to the commander, Survival Recovery Center (SRC), Battle Staff (BS), and Higher Headquarters (HHQ), to include NORAD, Continental U.S. North American Air Defense Command Region (CONR), Sector Operations Centers (Western, South Eastern, or North Eastern Air Defense Sectors), major commands (MAJCOMS), and the state Adjutant General; and provide first line of defense as it relates to command and control duties and responsibilities during operational events. This position plays an integral part in mission execution involving aircraft and aircrews, as well as maintaining contact with aircrews during the mission. The command post operates on a 24/7 rotating shift operation, monitoring and carrying out duties which include: overall mission status of the base and its assigned units, base wide security, initiating emergency procedures, aircrew recall, base Crisis Action Team notification, and other duties critical to the conduct of the mission assigned to the wing. Through authority granted by the Wing Commander, employees are empowered to act independently, coordinating with the commander, in order to accomplish the mission or meet the emergency response.

This position is located at an Air National Guard (ANG), Air Traffic Control Squadron(ATCS). Directly or through subordinate supervisors, the incumbent directs and supervises staff functions affecting a diverse and very complex Air Traffic Control System. Ensures that the squadron meets all wartime combat readiness standards, domestic operations requirements, and provides guidance and direction to the squadron through planning, coordinating, and directing a variety of functions which include airspace management, airfield operations, air traffic control tower and ATC radar operations, and maintenance support for both fixed Air Traffic Control and Landing Systems (ATCALS) and Deployable Airfield Operations Systems (DAOS), to include Quality Assurance, Materiel Control, Maintenance Control, vehicle and powered support equipment maintenance, human resources development and management, information resource management, and logistics plans and programs. The position is responsible for environmental, safety and physical security programs.

This position is located in Air National Guard (ANG) Aviation Wing, Air Traffic Control (ATC) Squadrons. The primary purpose of this position is: to provide tower, radar, and non-radar air traffic control (ATC) services to military and civilian aircraft operating under Instrument Flight Rules (IFR), Special Visual Flight Rules (SVFR), or Visual Flight Rules (VFR). Provides terminal ATC services to aircraft operating from primary and/or secondary airports within delegated airspace. Manages and directs controller actions and functions in Tower and Radar facilities as the primary watch supervisor and/or senior controller.

Serves as the Office of Primary Responsibility (OPR) for wing maintenance policy, advising supervisors and employees on both general policy and specific maintenance matters. Makes decisions and recommendations on technical concerns presented by supervisors. Utilizes a comprehensive knowledge and ability to interpret Air Force Instructions, Technical Orders, engineering drawings, product specifications, Air Force Occupational and Health (AFOSH) and environmental standards, public law, and locally developed policy. Evaluates and assesses complex systems, subsystems, integrated systems/subsystems, or components for conformance to applicable technical data, engineering drawings, standards and specifications. Evaluates, conducts reviews, activity inspections and management compliance of all maintenance activities to include the logistics maintenance support functional areas such as production, programs and mobility, maintenance training, plans, scheduling and documentation and data base management as directed by the Maintenance Group Commander. Identifies production problems, excessive overtime, discipline, housekeeping and technical discrepancies and attempts to identify the underlying cause for the deficiencies. Establishes and develops performance checklists and metrics in coordination with the Quality Assurance Supervisor. Develops local operating instructions to supplement regulations and manuals of higher echelons in the area of aircraft and aircraft systems quality assurance. Reviews all Operating Instructions (Ois) to ensure locally published instructions are technically accurate, complete and consistent with Air Force (AF) and Major Command (MAJCOM) policy. Coordinates with affected commanders on base and ensures the instruction is published as a wing operating instruction. Serves as a key team member in collating and reporting compliance metrics to Major Command(s).

Maintenance Standardization Evaluation Program (MSEP): Administers, evaluates, and coordinates a comprehensive quality assurance, maintenance standardization, and inspection program for all areas of the maintenance organization, all maintenance disciplines, job series and Air Force Specialty Codes (AFSCs). Evaluates the quality of maintenance accomplished in the maintenance organization and performs the necessary quality functions to execute the MSEP, designed to provide management an objective sampling of both the quality of equipment and the proficiency of maintenance personnel. Ensures the maintenance organization meets its responsibility for air-worthy aircraft and component quality for a broad and complex production workload, e.g., highly advanced aircraft, aircraft systems, avionics systems, electronic equipment, aircraft structures, composites, life safety systems, armament, munitions, and other areas of similar complexity. Participates in a review of the organization's quality plans, procedures and practices to assure adequacy and compliance to local and higher-level directives.

(a) Executes the evaluation program and accumulates data using Inspection and Evaluation techniques such as Task Evaluations, Quality Verification Inspections, Special Inspections, Personnel Evaluations and Management Inspections. Evaluates the quality of in-process and after-the-fact maintenance and ensures prescribed technical and management procedures are followed. Serves as the subject matter expert for critical assessment programs such as; Unit Self Inspections, Maintenance Standardization, Operational Readiness and Unit Compliance Inspections. Responsible for the development and maintenance of organizational level checklists. Ensures metrics are established and monitored to assess key result areas for successful mission accomplishment including, but not limited to, items where non-compliance would affect system reliability or result in serious injury, loss of life, excessive cost, or litigation. Evaluates the proficiency of assigned personnel in the execution of assigned maintenance tasking through Personnel Evaluations (PEs). Determines the proficiency and qualifications of certified personnel. Assess the relationship between personnel evaluation and technical inspection results to identify strengths or opportunities for improvement in the evaluation program.

Monitors and assesses the organization's quality program and elements of the program to gauge compliance with directives and established processes. Identifies deficiencies, implements corrective measures, and improves processes to enhance mission effectiveness and efficiency. Ensures safety, security, and Consolidated Tool Kit {CTK) programs are followed in accordance with applicable regulations and public law through the routine inspection of work centers.

The primary purpose of this position is: To perform fire prevention and inspection duties designed to detect and reduce or eliminate fire hazards in a high fire expectancy area. Develops and conducts extensive fire protection and prevention education and training programs.

1. Conducts an information program to elicit support and involvement in fire prevention, detection, and suppression. Secures client interest through emphasis of pertinent fire prevention topics and developing messages from actual fire incidents.

2. Performs regular and periodic fire protection inspections for all areas of the installation where the potential severity and expectancy for fire is high and involves hazards that are difficult to recognize and, once identified, require advanced or innovative methods to reduce or eliminate them. Adapts accepted techniques for application to potential hazards in highly specialized and technical operations.

3. Inspects, tests, and corrects deficiencies on a variety of fire protection systems, many of which are complex or designed for a specific operation or hazardous condition, (e.g., carbon dioxide cascade systems, halon total flood systems, heat rise detection systems, and interlock systems).Maintains close checks on new systems being installed to ensure installation and performance are in accordance with established standards.

4. Reviews engineering plans and specifications for new construction, alteration, and extension of existing structures. Recommends changes and additions to ensure plans include appropriate fire protection requirements as called for in agency regulations, National Fire Protection Association(NFPA) building codes, and other applicable guidelines.

5. Develops and maintains a variety of documentation such as fire prevention inspection schedules and facilities jackets on assigned facilities. Jackets include information on hazards, pre-fire plans, risk assessment codes (RAC), and regularly scheduled and special inspections conducted.

6. Complies with health, safety, and environmental rules and procedures and performs work in a manner that enhances the safety of the work environment. Ensures federal, state, and local protection/prevention ordinances and building codes concerning health, safety, and the environment are strictly adhered to.
