Position Overview

As we transition from a world of desktop products to that of products powered by cloud services, we're building our core underlying cloud fabric and kernel that is comprised of massively scalable, always-on, globally-deployed cloud infrastructure services that underpin our customer-facing systems. Engineers across product teams at Autodesk, utilize our kernel services to build our next generation of rich customer experiences.

We are seeking an engineer to help build Autodesk's worldwide data infrastructure. You will be part of a team that creates and deploys a data platform to enable the granular exchange of data between Autodesk products and third-party applications. Our core capabilities are developed in the AWS ecosystem and use state-of-the art technologies. These services range from heavy compute services to very complex data sharing services. You will report to QA Manager, and will be supported and encouraged to develop new skills.

The location of this role is hybrid in Toronto, ON.

Responsibilities

• You will collaborate with program managers and business teams to gather test requirements, define test plans, design test cases and automated tests, implement scalable test automation solutions, and implement the tests to deliver a high-quality product

• You will develop maintainable test automation frameworks, tools, and automated test suites in response to the growing feature set and customer requirements

• Be an integrated part of an Agile IT development team, working interactively with QA Manager, software engineers, test engineers, and product managers from the beginning of the development cycle

• You will work on continuous integration and continuous delivery while managing and maintaining CI and QA tools

• You will manage QA coverage of the products—integration testing (APIs), and end-to-end testing

• You will help develop a cloud strategy, design new cloud environments, and build architecture

Minimum Qualifications

• At least 4 plus years of experience as a Quality Assurance Automation Engineer well versed in Automated testing

• Experience with a variety of different testing techniques, such as UI Testing, Automated Testing (front end and backend), Test Driven Development Strategies and others

• At least 4 years of experience with software QA tools such as Cypress, Selenium, etc.

• Knowledge of coding using JavaScript or Typescript is required

• At least 3 years of backend testing experience using REST Assured/Jest

• Experience with AWS is highly preferable. The ability to support CI/CD tool integration throughout the development lifecycle is required

• Knowledge of CI/CD tools like Git, Azure devops, Jenkins, or Circle CI

Position Overview

Autodesk's Fusion Manage team is looking for an Automation Software QA Tester with experience developing automated test frameworks. As a QA Engineer, you will report to the Software Development Manager. You will work with scrum teams and other stakeholders to validate complex functionality, ensure automated test coverage meets expectations, improve processing to enable improving our testing capabilities, and deliver high-quality software to our customers.

Responsibilities

• You will work collaboratively on an Agile scrum team and actively participate in all Agile ceremonies

• You will estimate, plan, schedule software testing tasks for yourself and others

• You will own some of the automated tests (performance, release smoke), work with other stakeholders to improve the coverage and address issues

• Perform hands-on testing to assist product releases and automation requirements

• Triage and troubleshoot automation issues

• Prepare detailed test reports and communicate results to your team

• Assist developers when needed to identify automated tests to be added

• Reproduce and investigate customer issues

• Communicate status of the work in progress, escalate critical issues

• Collaborate with Quality Champion, build dashboards, and define and track quality related metrics

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent experience

• 2 years experience with testing cloud software solutions, including experience working with and validating RESTful interfaces

• Experience writing automated tests

• Working knowledge of Java, Python, Jenkins, BlazeMeter/JMeter, Postman

• Experience designing tests, defining test scope and identifying functional and non-functional testing (e.g. performance, availability, stability, security, and environment)

• 2 years experience with testing tools and testing process in product release cycles

• 2 years experience with CAD, PDM, and PLM applications is a plus

Position Overview

Autodesk's Product Development and Manufacturing Solutions (PDMS) team is hiring Software Quality Assurance Specialists to join our Inventor team. This is an exciting time to join us on our multi-year journey to disrupt the Design to Manufacture world by delivering un-precedented value and converging workflows. You'll be reporting to our Quality Assurance Manager and you'll help us increase the quality of our flagship 3D design product. You will work with a global engineering team to help define & develop product validation strategy, drive automation, advocate for customers, and represent Quality Assurance during the product development cycle. You'll help us develop, drive, and execute a coherent, progressive, systematical, customer-centric SQA strategy for Autodesk's Inventor product line, world-class 2D and 3D mechanical CAD tools.

Responsibilities

• Build solid test plans for features and perform end-to-end testing during development and release stages

• Create automations using internal automation tool and maintain automation test cases effectiveness

• Assist our managers in the evaluation, scope, and cost of projects

• Provide regular status updates to QA managers for project status, overall quality status, and risks

• Be a customer champion throughout the development lifecycle to ensure that customer satisfaction is the highest priority quality measure for all products

• Propose new ideas and learn about new technology and testing frameworks

• Collaborate with extended team members and build partnerships with other SQA teams

• Communicate testing and product requirements and testing timelines with other team members

Minimum Qualifications

• BSc. in a related field (Computer Science, Engineering, etc) or equivalent experience

• 2+ years of experience in a Software Quality Assurance or software testing

• Demonstrated customer centricity and zeal for quality

• Experience in automation testing

• Experience working in large teams with lots of interdependencies

• Team player, reliability and demonstrated rigor

• Experience describing testing requirements and methodologies to extended team members

• Experience working in Agile environment

• Programming/Scripting knowledge with Python or JavaScript (or related)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with JIRA (or similar tools)

• Experience in Mechanical design software testing (CAD, CAM, etc.)

• Experience working with geographically distributed teams
