Leadership of a specialist file review team in the mortgages sector is 100% essential, and ideally with Cemap qualification. As our successful candidate, you will demonstrate a track record in achieving excellent results, in terms of the quantity and quality of file reviewing output the team is tasked with completing. The role
The Quality & Performance Manager accepts overall responsibility for ensuring the Assessor team meets minimum targets for file reviews, including sales quality scores and completion of remedial processes. They have line management responsibility for the Assessor Team Leaders.
This role provides MI reporting to the Head of Compliance Operations, Compliance Operations Manager and Senior Management Team (SMT) and is expected to be proactive in identifying and putting forward system and process improvements to improve efficiency as often as possible.
Key responsibilities
Development of processes and people to achieve file review targets
Completing 121 performance reviews, providing feedback on performance, agreeing development plans and checking wellbeing
Process and audit management
Deliver outcomes of audits to Assessor Team Leaders
Providing accurate and up to date MI reporting to senior management
Manage staffing levels and attendance within the team
Any other tasks delegated by line manager to support the team and company as required
Our ideal candidate
Excellent developer of people and process
Previous experience managing a specialist file reviewing team, ideally for another mortgage network (i.e. not from the context of a Compliance Manager managing a team of Mortgage Advisors)
Track record exceeding team targets for both quantity and quality of case file reviews
CeMAP qualification
Probing, investigative, analytical
Ability to prioritise, manage own workload and use time productively
Credible and influential at all levels, including with senior management
Able to fully satisfy the pre employment screening process which comprises of right to work, identity, 5 years referencing, AML, credit screen, financial sanctions and DBS checks.
