The purpose of this role is to facilitate the development of a culture of continuous quality improvement at Royal Surrey through using expert knowledge and skill in improvement methods. By supporting, coaching and leading people in delivering improvement, the post holder helps to deliver the organisations True North and Breakthrough Objectives. The post holder will provide quality improvement knowledge and expertise to the organisation through training, coaching, and facilitating projects to help make quality improvement the way we do things. They will act as a role model in promoting a culture of improvement and transformation, working with teams at all levels to challenge current practice and deliver significant and quantifiable improvements towards achieving our True North and Breakthrough Objectives. Using lean thinking as the basis, they will be responsible for developing, documenting and disseminating our quality improvement approach so that we build skill and expertise in quality improvement across the Trust. A key part of the role will be to support the development of others in the organisation in quality improvement methods. In addition, they will support pathway improvement activity that addresses defined organisational priorities and address complex challenges by facilitating change at an individual, team and service level.

Quality Governance Facilitator (Full Time 37.5hrs) Quality and Safety Department An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our team as a Quality Governance Facilitator. As the Quality Governance Facilitator, you will lead and coordinate Patient Safety Incident Investigations and support the Trust to learn from patient safety events. You will have experience working in patient safety or quality governance and have an understanding of governance techniques, including incident reporting and risk management. Ideally, you will have a clinical background; in this role, you will be working with clinical teams and senior leaders to analyse current practice and identify areas for improvement. This will include analysing data and identifying themes and trends. You will work closely with the clinical teams to produce reports and present information to senior team leaders. You will engage closely with patients, their families and staff with the aim of understanding their experiences and obtaining areas for improvement. You will have excellent interpersonal skills and be able to work effectively and flexibly as a part of a team. The post holder will support the Divisional Quality, Safety & Learning Team through the provision of tasks relating to Clinical Governance, Assurance & Learning, along with administrative and clerical tasks required to facilitate the improvement of clinical services across the Women's Health & Paediatrics Division.
