job purpose/about the role

The roles of the Quality Improvement Manager are to:

 promote and support the improvement agenda
 effectively manage allocated areas of responsibility, including line management of a team of Quality /Improvement Officers and Education Support Officers
 support the delivery of the policies set by Education and Children’s Services Directorate under the overall direction of the Director of Education and children’s services and
 provide leadership, vision, professional advice and effective management to the Council and in particular, the Head of Education Services.

Ensuring effective partnership working within schools and with partner organisations (both locally and nationally) with an interest in education will be vital.

The post holder will also demonstrate sound governance at a financial and operational level and, along with Schools Team colleagues, will be accountable to the Head of Education Services, the Director for Education and Children’s Services, the Chief Executive and Elected Members for ensuring that the Council’s corporate and strategic objectives are met and are reflected in the services under their responsibilities.

The post holder needs to hold as a minimum:

 Educated to degree level
 Relevant professional teaching qualification
 Ability to provide evidence of GTCS registration or eligibility
 PVG Membership for Regulated work with Children and/or Protected Adults or willingness to obtain prior to a formal offer of employment being made.

The postholder is able to demonstrate:

 integrated and cross-cutting approaches to policy and service development, implementation and improvement
 experience relating to work portfolio and knowledge of relevant legislation, council education policy and best practice
 proven record at management level of delivering required results within a customer focused organisation
 establishment and maintenance of successful, complex internal and external relationships across a variety of forums

The Compliance Manager will work on a variety of compliance matters pertaining to Blackstone’s Private Equity funds. Primary job responsibilities will include:

• Work closely with the investment team and other key internal stakeholders to provide broad support for the compliance program for Blackstone’s Private Equity business, team members, and investment portfolio consistent with applicable laws and regulations (with particular focus on the U.S., U.K. and European Union)

• Coordinate across business unit and corporate teams to prepare regulatory reports and filings (e.g., Form ADV, Form PF, Reg D, AIFMD and Annex IV) and to perform annual 206(4)-7 compliance review (including for Blackstone’s Life Sciences group).

• Provide compliance coverage for Private Equity’s fundraising efforts, including fund registrations, the review of private placement memoranda and the negotiation of certain LP side letter provisions

• Help develop, revise, and maintain compliance and regulatory policies, procedures and controls taking into account the specific needs of the Private Equity business, firm-wide policies and practices, and evolving legal and regulatory requirements

• Assist with compliance testing and coordination with an outside compliance consultant for testing, including in connection with Private Equity’s annual compliance review

• Reviewing and processing wall-cross requests and assisting with the administration of the firm’s internal information walls

• Ensure compliance with investor side letter obligations

• Serve as the primary point of escalation for matters pertaining to fund marketing and LP communications

• Assist with the preparation of quarterly and annual LP disclosures and provide compliance support for periodic investor reporting

• Oversee responses to third-party AML, KYC and sanctions compliance requests pertaining to the Private Equity funds and their investments

• Support selected firm-wide legal and compliance initiatives

Qualifications:

• 8+ years of professional compliance and or law firm experience (preferably covering asset management or at a regulatory consulting firm)

• Experience with private funds and related regulatory filings

• Possess interest in financial markets and compliance processes with an ability to step in and work directly with business stakeholders

• Highly motivated, enthusiastic, proactive, intelligent, and proven excellence in prior endeavors

• Strong time and task management skills; possesses an ability to manage multiple priorities and raise issues in a timely and productive fashion

• Strong skills in Microsoft Office suite

• Team player

• Strong organizational and communication skills, as well as a demonstrated ability to write effectively

Expected annual base salary range:

$140,000 - $200,000

Actual base salary within that range will be determined by several components including but not limited to the individual's experience, skills, qualifications and job location. Additional compensation: Base salary does not include other forms of compensation or benefits offered in connection with the advertised role.

As a Senior Quality Improvement Manager, you will play a critical role in ensuring that the manufacturing processes, products, and services meet the highest quality standards. You'll be responsible for driving continuous improvement initiatives, maintaining compliance with ISO9001 requirements, and fostering a culture of quality excellence.You will report to the Operations Manager and have a supportive team report to you.

Mon - Thurs 8am - 5pm and Fri until 1.30

What you'll need to succeed
Ideally you will have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Quality Management, Engineering, Manufacturing) or 4 years experience in a quality role. You will have proven experience in quality management, preferably within a manufacturing environment. Knowledge of ISO9001 standards and quality control practices. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication and collaboration abilities. Certifications such as Lean Six Sigma or ISO auditor certification desirable but not essential as long as have working knowledge.

The successful Quality Assurance Lead will be responsible for implementing strategies to allow successful delivery of high-quality Clinical Trials studies; by driving effective, efficient, global processes across the various aspects of our Quality and Operations.

Responsibilities:

• Work closely with the global QA leadership team to provide regional oversight of the quality assurance team.
• Promote and uphold a high performing culture through effective talent planning, selection, onboarding and continuing education. Curate and deliver comprehensive training plans and materials to foster successful onboarding and employee performance.
• Identify and implement strategies to maintain a culture of quality. Develop and execute holistic audit program, including internal audits, vendor audits, client audits and regulatory inspections, to ensure compliance.
• Leverage industry knowledge to refine our strategies and processes for delivering high quality clinical trials. Maintain working knowledge of industry and regulatory standards and requirements.
• Provide guidance and leadership as it relates to Good Clinical Practice (GCP), Good Laboratory Practice (GLP), MHRA, FDA, data privacy and other regulatory standards as needed or directed. Serve as a responsive escalation point for Clinical Trials quality issues and concerns.
• Oversee and manage vendor management program to ensure supply compliance, computer systems validation program, and data privacy program regionally to ensure compliance.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree required; Master's Degree preferred
• Extensive industrial experience in Quality Assurance, Regulatory Affairs, Laboratory Operations or a related field required.
• Experience of progressive leadership in QA required.
• Experience managing quality/regulatory department of regional responsibility.
• Experience with data privacy regulations preferred.
• Experience with Medicines & Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA), Food & Drug Administration (FDA); knowledge of Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) and Good Clinical Practice (GCP) strongly preferred.
