Sodexo is looking for expressions of interest for a Licensing and Compliance professional to join their team in Brisbane.    

The purpose of the role is to:

• Ensure Sodexo has a clear, well managed process to identify, apply for, keep up-to-date and validate the requirements for business licensing
• Manage the compliance program implemented across the WA operations

The role will liaise with government authorities, councils, other appropriate industry groups, Sodexo operations and Sodexo’s legal department to ensure Sodexo has a pre-emptive view of licensing trends and a best practice licensing compliance program.  We offer hybrid working conditions, full time 38hrs per week, $90,000 + super.   

Job Requirements:

• Ability to research and understand State/Territory licensing requirements including - legislation, regulations, and rules of statutory, regulatory and industry bodies
• Solid process management skills, able to manage multiple tasks and manage expectations
• High acumen in PC systems, int MS office
• 3+ years’ experience of liquor licensing compliance role, enforcement or similar as well as experience working with regulatory bodies
• 3+ years in a similar role, legal experience is favorable, must have liquor licensing experience in Qld.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily reviews of transaction filtering and screening to ensure compliance with policies and regulatory standards.
• Perform sampling of cleared alerts to assess the accuracy and quality of the adjudication.
• Gather and analyze data to spot trends, recurring issues, or inefficiencies in the filtering process.
• Document findings and assisst in generating reports for manager and stakeholders.
• Work with the filtering team to provide feedback and identify areas of improvement in processes and controls.

• Present findings to senior managers and stakeholders, highlighting both successes and areas needing attention.
• Prepare weekly and monthly report that summarize team activities and quality metrics.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree
• Minimum 3 years of experience in the banking industry with some exposure to screening process.
• Understanding of financial crime and money laundering risks.
• Strong attention to detail with ability to identify discrepancies and trends in large sets of data
• Strong communication skills to effectively report findings to manager and stakeholders.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and take direction from senior team members.
• Experience with compliance or AML tools such as World Check, Fircosoft, or other filtering and screening system is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform AML monitoring/review on Trade post-transaction files.
• Review/investigate Trade manual screening alerts and red flag escalated by trade processing team for potential sanction violations in accordance with SMBC policies.
• Ensure that review and investigation conclusions are adequately and properly documented for regulatory/audit level review.
• Coordinate and/or prepare the required management information reporting data as applicable.
• Perform daily batch name screening alert clearance.
• Investigate and report discrepancies and irregularities arising from transactions, system failure, etc and resolve issues including handling stakeholder’s complaints and escalating all issues to Team Lead / Deputy Group Head / Group Head promptly.
• Prepare reports that summarize team activities and quality metrics.
• Collaborate to improve workflow, suggest enhancements, and support the implementation of improvement actions.
• Other tasks as assigned by Group Head / Team Lead.

Requirements

• Bachelors degree
• Minimum 3 years of experience in the banking industry with exposure to AML Screening and/or Trade AML
• Able to link diverse information to build a full picture and spot inconsistencies
• Possesses knowledge of MAS regulation on AML and Sanctions requirements including KYC, Screening.
• Strong team player
• Good communications skills, hands on, independent and proactive in carrying out investigation on customers and/or transactions. Able to work with front office and operation team.

Duties & Responsibilities:

1. Conduct regular inspections to verify the work complies with method statements and BCA's Good Industry Practice (GIP) guidelines
2. Monitor subcontractor workers across all trades, identifying and ensuring proper rectification of defects
3. Create and implement effective QA/QC plans to ensure consistent quality throughout the project
4. Prepare clear and accurate QA/QC reports and assist in preparing QM submissions
5. Maintain quality standards: Execute quality control based on site-specific materials and the Project Quality Plan (PQP)
6. Issue and manage Site Memos: Effectively communicate non-conformances, corrective actions, and preventive measures through Site Memos
7. Oversee corrective actions: Monitor the implementation of corrective and preventive actions against identified non-conformities
8. Liaise with external bodies: Arrange and coordinate with BCA for CONQUAS assessments
9. Ensure method statement compliance: Verify that all method statements have client and consultant approvals before implementation
10. Manage testing requirements: Follow up on all required tests as per contract specifications and Inspection Test Plan (ITP)
11. Active participation: Attend regular site meetings (QAQC, Landscape Coordination, Client Meetings) and contribute actively
12. Off-site inspections: Conduct or participate in inspections at precast and structural steel works facilities (Malaysia and Singapore)
13. Facilitate smooth handover during handover inspections and addressing client defects during the Defect Liability Period
14. Ad-hoc tasks or duties as assigned by supervisor or manager

Job Requirements:

• Minimum Diploma or Degree in a QA/QC, Engineering, or Construction-related field.
• Proven experience in the construction industry.
• In-depth knowledge of construction quality control/assurance principles and practices.
• Proficiency in construction management software and QA/QC documentation tools.

We build cutting edge, onion routed and end-to-end encrypted tools to deliver the most secure and user-friendly messaging experience that exists today. We are looking for individuals who are excited to drive the next frontier of personal communication technology and user privacy tools.


THE ROLE
We are expanding our QA team and seeking a Software Tester to aid in the testing of several new projects. These projects include large upgrades to the Session application, overhauling groups, networking capabilities and monetisation of the application.

You will be part of our growing team of 15 developers, you will focus on Session and its associated products. In this role, you will primarily work alongside another QA Automation Engineer / SDET. Our tech stack is centered around a number of automated testing tools, including Appium and Playwright, offering you a dynamic and modern development landscape. You will be responsible for the following tasks:

Conduct timely and thorough manual testing of new software packages, including Android, iOS, and Desktop applications, provided by the development team.
Work with other members of the QA team to write detailed acceptance criteria for new features, collaborating with the Session and Core teams to ensure a clear understanding of expected outcomes.
Communicate effectively with developers and other staff members to investigate reported bugs, assisting in identifying their root causes.
Produce clear and reproducible bug reports for the development team, including essential details to aid in efficient debugging and resolution.
Become a power user of Session and other relevant applications, utilising them outside of work to naturally encounter and report bugs and issues.
Contribute to the formulation and improvement of the test strategy, ensuring comprehensive test coverage across various platforms.
Execute manual test cases according to the test strategy, documenting test results and outcomes.
Collaborate with development, QA, and other cross-functional teams to maintain product quality and stability.
Use regression test suites and end to end tests to verify the stability of software releases.
Continuously seek opportunities to suggest enhancements to testing methodologies, tools, and processes for increased efficiency and effectiveness.
Regularly update task status in project management tools like JIRA, Notion, etc.
