Job Description:

GENERAL PURPOSE

The Sales Executive, Vertical Form Fill & Seal and Flow Wrapping grows BW Flexible Systems business in assigned territories by securing new machinery orders.  This position is responsible for developing and implementing business strategies that will continue to expand the client base and foster customer loyalty within the territory.  The Sales Executive will create and implement both short- and long-term sales objectives and strategies that will meet the needs of the customer, increase market share, increase machinery orders and maximize product servicing. This is accomplished by working within the global corporate structure of BW Flexible Systems, the wider Barry-Wehmiller Packaging Platform, and with our customers in Texas, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Kansas and Missouri.  This position also works with the sales leadership team to research markets and establish strategic directions for growing BW Flexible Systems sales with named key accounts in target industries within North America.  The VFFS & Flow Wrapping Sales Executive encourages others to discover, develop and apply their talents to reach their full potential and actively engages in our Lean journey by building and acting on continuous improvement and development opportunities. 

RESPONSIBLITIES

• Secure new machinery orders for BW Flexible Systems VFFS and Flow
  Wrapping machinery, feed systems, and turn-key integrated packaging line projects that meet or exceed assigned quota

• Responsible for key accounts within a specific target industry, such as Bakery, Confectionary, Pharma/Medical, Non-food, Frozen, Cheese or Protein

• Maintain contact with current and potential customers by building strong relationships and supplying product information to increase the likelihood of future sales orders

• Research regional, client and industry information, analyze industry and client specific data and create and execute account specific strategies and tactics.

• Provide detailed information regarding customer requirements, specifications, applications, etc. so accurate and timely sales proposals are produced for the customer when requested

• Keep abreast of competitive and customer activity along with customer needs, and communicate information to the appropriate individuals within the company, so strategic decisions can be made to increase the company’s competitive edge in the marketplace

• Assists in the resolution of customer claims and ensures resolution of customer complaints following department policy 

• Support and actively utilize CRM software to maintain accurate records of all contacts, activity reports, opportunities and competitive information for prospects, customers, and competitors

• Develop and demonstrate a working knowledge of the relevant finance mechanisms for conducting business in the region.

• Promote the availability of company services (such as spare parts, training and field service) along with capabilities in other areas of the Barry-Wehmiller companies to customers to increase sales

• Facilitates product demonstrations and assists in identifying and qualifying opportunities 

• Effectively makes recommendations concerning market trends, competitive products and pricing 

• Maintain records and reports regarding all phases of activities as required

• Accurately forecast quarterly sales activity and revenue achievement

• Other responsibilities as needed

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION: 

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business or Engineering, or technical degree with significant proven industry experience

EXPERIENCE: 

• Minimum of five years of business-to-business sales experience with capital equipment or packaging industry-related items

• Solid knowledge of and experience with various types of packaging machinery and systems used in the food and consumer packaged goods (CPG) industries

• Technical or sales experience with complex feed systems and/or flow-wrapping machinery

• Key account management experience with major consumer packaged goods (CPG) companies

• Experience in packaging machinery wholesale business model working with distributors, re-sellers, agents, and lead finders

Responsible for selling a line of highly sophisticated finishing equipment to customers engaged in the corrugated box industry in an assigned area.

Job Description:

Our Customer Service Team is the backbone of our company providing service and support to our customer install base. You will be responsible for a variety of daily activities including providing parts quotes, entering orders, conducting research to identify machine components, coordinating support calls with our technical team of engineers and making outbound phone calls to maintain healthy relationships with our clients. BW Papersystems is looking for a talented Customer Service/Sales Representative at BW Papersystems, where you will play a pivotal role in delivering diversified sales and customer service support. In this role, your responsibilities encompass building and nurturing customer relationships, selling manufacturing products and services, and ensuring overall customer satisfaction through technical expertise and exceptional service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide prompt response to incoming inquiries, offering light mechanical support by addressing questions related to machine features and functions.

• Reading mechanical drawings and blueprints to identify various mechanical/industrial parts.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve technical and logistical issues, recommending effective solutions to enhance customer experiences.

• Actively engage in sales activities, advising customers on product substitutions, upgrades, modifications, and identical replacement parts.

• Initiate outbound sales calls using prepared scripts and tailored questions to potential clients.

• Generate quotes, maintain correspondence, provide order status updates, and complete quotes upon receipt of purchase orders.

• Coordinate sales efforts in alignment with marketing and other departments.

• Participate in the return process, identifying root causes, or directing cases to the appropriate team when necessary.

The Corporate Safety Collaborator will be a key partner to the BW Safety Board and will play a supporting role in developing and implementing actions, strategies and processes that deliver short-term results while simultaneously enhancing the long-term BW EHS sustainability capabilities at all locations.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions):

• Promote a truly Safety-First EHS culture for all within the Barry Wehmiller family.

• Drive compliance towards all relevant OSHA environmental Safety regulations and seek alignment to all BW Safety standards.

• Promote alignment for all US teams with established practices within the EHS framework.

• Support team member Safety training.

• A liaison between the TPA for workers compensation, the business, and the team member.

  • Review Injury and the nature of injuries in the workspaces

  • Develop internal policies pertaining to returning to work for injured associates.

• Coach towards clear goals/ KPI’s and formal recognition of resulting progress.

• Provide an easily accessible level of support to all North America locations as they develop their local Safety practices.

Required Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in occupational safety & health / business / loss prevention or a visible work history demonstrating relevant experience.

• 5+ years of EHS, OSHA, and Workers Compensation experience in a complex, multisite manufacturing environment.

• Strong leader / project manager with excellent communications and presentation skills.

• Organized, analytical, self-motivator with a strong attention to detail.

• Track record of implementing performance enhancing standards/excellence.

• Hazard/Risk Assessment process skills. Hazardous material control.

• Experienced in State plans vs Federal regulatory requirements in EHS compliance.

• Previous Arc flash risk mitigation (NFPA 70E)

• Knowledgeable on ISNetworld and ISO 45001/ ISO 9001.

• Competent in Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, Workday, Excel, PowerBI
