Job Description:
We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our team as a Referral Coordinator. The Referral Coordinator plays a crucial role in driving business growth by managing referrals from other veterinary practices. This position requires a deep understanding of veterinary medicine, excellent communication skills, and the ability to build strong relationships with referring veterinarians and clients.
Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of the referral process, including receiving and processing referrals from other veterinary practices and specialists.
- Communicate effectively with referring veterinarians and provide updates on hospital services, advancements, specialists, and events.
- Serve as a liaison between our hospital and referring practices, maintaining positive relationships and promoting collaboration.
- Track referral statistics and analyze data to identify opportunities for business growth and improvement.
- Participate in marketing initiatives to promote our referral services and attract new referring hospitals.
- Provide exceptional customer service to referring veterinarians and ensure their needs are met throughout the referral process.
- Content development for hospital website and social media. Collaborating with the marketing department to gather information, creating compelling written and visual content, and maintaining a consistent online presence across all channels.
- Responsible for planning and executing events, such as lunch & learn seminars, and dinners. Ensures sufficient and appropriate event materials are delivered on time.
- Responsible for organizing and representing the hospital at community events.
- Plans, coordinates, and executes events within timelines and within budget. Events may be in-person, online, or hybrid.
- Local travel required, minimum 50%. (Mileage reimbursement)
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in veterinary medicine, with a strong understanding of medical terminology and procedures.
- Background in marketing not required but highly preferred.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in computer skills, including Microsoft Office
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and colleagues.
- Positive attitude, team player, and dedication to providing outstanding patient care.
