As our Sales Manager, your key-responsibilities will be:

• New Business Development: Drive and deliver new direct business and build a strong pipeline in alignment with the hotel’s strategic objectives. Ensure sales targets for corporate rooms, meetings & events (C&B), and annual marketing plans are achieved, with ROI tracking.
• Account Management: Take ownership of corporate rate negotiations for both LNR and KNR accounts. Maintain and develop a portfolio of key accounts, ensuring long-term relationships and maximizing opportunities for the hotel.
• Sales Support: Collaborate with the sales office to convert local and KNR-generated leads for groups and meetings. Provide sales support to the Director of Sales (DOS).

• Lead Generation: Conduct research to identify new business opportunities through social media, trade shows, and market analysis. Follow up on lost and denied leads to uncover potential business.
• Rate Negotiation & Contract Renewal: Support the team in re-negotiating annual rate agreements to ensure they align with the hotel’s financial goals and KPIs.
• Commercial Reviews & Strategy: Assist in the creation of consolidated board sales packs and commercial reviews for senior leadership. Play an active role in shaping sales strategies and business development efforts.
• Client Hospitality & Engagement: Lead client hospitality initiatives, manage performance trackers, and ensure effective use of sales tools.

• A track record of sales achievements with at least 2 years’ experience in the service and hospitality industry is essential for this role.

Your new role
Your new role as Corporate Tax Assistant Manager will be varied and interesting with a mix of clients from various business sectors within the Manchester market. You will work on a portfolio of clients and be part of a team offering corporate tax compliance and advisory services. You will oversee the compliance process of your own portfolio of clients, reviewing and signing off tax computations and tax returns. Working with the partners and directors to identify client opportunities is also part of this exciting role. The opportunity to grow and develop and help train and coach some of the more junior members of the team is also available to the ambitious Corporate Tax specialist.

What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role as Corporate Tax Assistant Manager, you will ideally be CTA/ ATT or ACA qualified and have gained experience in complex corporate tax work from the Big 4 or one of the Top 20 firms.
Corporate Tax compliance experience is essential with the willingness to undertake a more mixed role in compliance and advisory services. Corporate tax advisory experience would be beneficial, but the willingness to learn in this area is essential.

Main Duties:

Responsible for the day-to-day management of the school’s business operations, including the management of non-centralised finance and HR functions, school administration, catering, IT and estate management; ensuring staff conform to any central policies and procedures and systems as directed by the central trust team.

The post holder is responsible for the overall management, leadership and development of these designated school support staff and responsible for ensuring an efficient and effective service is provided. This includes effective team communication, induction, training and appraisal.

The business operations manager role is replicated in our other trust high schools, with the opportunity and encouragement to collaborate.
