On behalf of one of its clients, a global FMCG Distributor company, the French Chamber of Commerce is looking for a Marketing Specialist (Global & Regional Markets).
The hiring Company is a global FMCG Distributor established in 1987, exporting consumer goods throughout New Zealand, the Pacific Islands, Indian Ocean and Caribbean.
Key Responsibilities :
1) Lead Global and Regional New Product Development (NPD)
Support the Group Marketing Manager in developing new products, primarily in laundry care, personal hygiene, household products, and nutrition lines.
Responsibilities include:
- Conducting market research and gathering insights from local markets.
- Drafting New Product Marketing briefs to meet markets requirements, marketing goals, and compliance requirements for target markets.
- Overseeing product development in collaboration with the supply chain and external partners (e.g., suppliers, legal consultants).
- Leading financial evaluations of NPDs, including cost analysis, working closely with sales and finance teams through to launch approval.
- Handling branding and packaging design, from creating global packaging concepts and multilingual labelling (English, French, Spanish) to coordinating with design agencies or freelancers through the printing phase.
2) Manage New Product Launches
- Coordinate with supply chain and operations teams to establish internal product codes, barcodes, and ordering sheets.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive product documentation and marketing sheets.
- Create compelling marketing presentations and sales tools.
- Distribute samples and marketing information to local markets.
- Collaborate with sales, digital marketing, and local marketing managers to develop brand communication strategies, launch plans, and global marketing programs.
3) Manage Existing Product Portfolio
- Track market trends and monitor competitor products in key categories, issuing quarterly reports.
- Review NPD performance against forecasts, also on a quarterly basis.
- Prepare biannual performance reports and provide marketing recommendations for key brands.
- Suggest portfolio actions to ensure relevance, such as product improvements, extensions, or phase-outs.
- Manage the Marketing A&P budget monthly and assist in preparing annual marketing plans and budgets.
4) Support Group Marketing Manager with Ad Hoc Projects
- Assist with various tasks and projects as needed.
Requirements
Degree in Marketing.
5 years to 10 years experience in product marketing, brand management, or product development.
- Curiosity and a genuine interest in FMCG products within our categories.
- Strong data orientation and attention to detail.
- Team player with an open mind, able to adapt to different market dynamics across diverse regions, including Asia-Pacific and Western markets.
- Comfortable working in a multicultural environment with colleagues from various nationalities.
- Hands-on approach suited to an SME setting, flexible attitude
- basic knowledge of French and Spanish would be a plus.
