We are supporting our long-established East Midlands accountancy client in growing their Tax team as they are now recruiting for an experienced Corporate Tax Manager.

This Corporate Tax Manager role is a fantastic opportunity to join a team of professionals who offer their clients a full tax planning and advisory service, with hybrid working opportunities and flexible hours.

THE ROLE

Your responsibilities as a Corporate Tax Manager will include:

Lead tax projects and providing tax advice
Provide guidance and support on tax-related matters, including the tax implications of business decisions and transactions
Ensuring the team is equipped with the skills they need to deliver the best possible client experience
Build and maintain strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders including other business service lines, clients, and external organisations

THE CANDIDATE

The ideal Corporate Tax Manager will be able to demonstrate the following key skills and experience:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or advanced degree preferred
5+ years of experience in corporate tax, with a strong understanding of tax laws and regulation
Proven track record of successfully managing corporate tax compliance and planning initiatives
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and identify opportunities for tax optimization
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders
Detail-oriented and highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

This is one of three Strategic Business Manager posts that all have shared objectives and accountability for delivering the directorate’s core business across our operational, tactical and strategic functions as part of an integrated senior leadership team, and for delivering the FBI 5-year Strategy.

The Strategic Business Manager (Operational Delivery) leads on the financial elements of FBI and is a highly complex role requiring the post holder to keep abreast of a wide range of national and local NHS statutory frameworks for reporting, compliance and standards, and for ensuring these are operated and adhered to, and that products are high quality and delivered in a timely manner.

The post holder is responsible to act as a role model for leadership, living and promoting the LCHS Way. It is an expectation that this role will support and encourage others to reach their full potential by creating an environment of empowerment through adopting a culture of ‘freedom coupled with accountability’.

The Strategic Business Manager – Operational Delivery will lead for the trust on the effective and efficient operational management of the Finance Directorate, ensuring delivery of high-quality operational business services and effective use of the resources available. The role requires a fully qualified accountant and the individual will be responsible for providing strong capable leadership and day-today direction of the operational finance delivery function, and for supporting colleagues across the organisation and the wider health and care system.

The postholder will provide leadership to the Finance directorate as part of an integrated senior leadership team with shared objectives and accountability for delivery of the directorate’s core business and for delivery of the FBI strategy and will ensure that the Trust is able to respond effectively to the operational needs of the organisation in the context of a changing Lincolnshire health system (ICS) and the wider health and care environment.

This post is part of the integrated senior leadership team and will work across the FBI Business Partnering and Strategic Development functions.

This function will havea medium to long term focus collaborating with colleagues across the directorate to service business needs and priorities. Unencumbered by by operational or compliance duties, this function will be responsive in identifying opportunities to develop partnerships that make a difference to people and populations.

This role will provide leadership to the directorate as part of an integrated senior leadership team with shared objectives and accountability for delivery of the directorate’s core business and for delivery of the FBI strategy. They will do this through maintaining a focus on systems, processes, culture, performance and behaviours.

We are recruiting a Deputy Bar Manager, with an additional focus on Marketing and growing the business, to join our client in Lincoln, on a Permanent basis.

This opportunity would be great for a Marketing professional who also has a strong interest in the Hospitality & Catering sector. It's a great small establishment to work for, greatly respected locally and are performing very well, so please do read on for more details.

Your core focuses will be:
- Deputising for the General Manager
- Serving customers with a smile and to set customer service, hygiene, Health & Safety and efficiency standards
- Taking ownership and responsibility for the Marketing of the business

Day to day, your duties will vary but will largely involve:
- Leading the small team by example
- Serving customers with a friendly and accommodating attitude, working in line with company standards, often working alone
- Improving public awareness of the establishment, planning events such as quizzes, exhibitions, tasters etc
- Creating new community relationships, or building on relationships with the local community that have been established by the company
- Manage social media platforms
- Target marketing at particular sectors in line with company budgets agreed with the Director

- Stock management, changing and cleaning of beer lines
- Regular cleaning and upkeep of the premises
- Maintenance of company standards on customer service, hygiene, Health & Safety and efficiency

The role would be roughly 75% as Duty Bar Manager and 25% spent on the Marketing side.

PLEASE NOTE the changing of beer barrels will be manual and very heavy.

The company will require from you:
- Driving Licence and own transport for business use (in order to collect local deliveries, mileage paid and any additional insurance premium)
- Bar experience
- Media & Marketing skills

Working hours will be 35-40hrs per week, rota to be agreed with the General Manager. Your 'Marketing' hours could be worked from home if you wish.

Annual salary £24-28k, open to discussion.
