Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and effective maths lessons to students in key stages 3 and 4
- Develop and implement curricula that meet educational standards and foster a love for mathematics.
- Utilise a variety of teaching methods and instructional resources to accommodate different learning styles within maths
- Assess and evaluate student progress in maths, providing constructive feedback and support.
- Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and the wider school community to enhance the educational experience.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with educational best practices and methodologies.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student attendance, results, and other required documentation.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, or a related field
- Teaching certification or relevant qualifications and experience
- Proven experience teaching mathematics at key stage 3 and 4
- Strong understanding of mathematical concepts and the ability to convey them effectively.
- Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
- A passion for education and a genuine interest in the success and development of students.
- Ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Experience of working within an alternative provision would be advantageous
