An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Midsomer Norton Schools Partnership as a Lead Practitioner of Mathematics. This post would suit colleagues who want to progress to leadership, but remain focussed on teaching mathematics.
We are looking for an exceptional teacher of Mathematics with a passion for engaging and motivating students to excel in the subject. The successful candidate will also be skilled in motivating other teachers of Mathematics to improve their practice.
The right candidate will have a track record of excellent feedback from students, parents and colleagues and of exceeding national expectations for progress with your classes. You will be a teacher who continually seeks to improve and perfect the learning in your own classroom and has experience of supporting colleagues to make similar improvements.

As a Lead Practitioner for Mathematics you will be an integral part of this improvement team, working with the Director of Mathematics to enhance teaching and learning in Mathematics within your own department and the other Maths departments within a small hub of local secondary schools. You will be called upon to share your expertise and experience with colleagues, both in your home school and within other schools in the hub, and to work intensively with some specific colleagues to support the development of their practice.
