In this vital role the Senior Counsel -R&D Regulatory will be responsible for legal support of Amgen’s Global Development organization, as well as Global Regulatory Affairs, Patient Safety, Medical Affairs, R&D Quality and Compliance, Precision Medicine, Drug Delivery, and other R&D functions.

Responsibilities:

• Working directly with clients, provide strategic and practical legal counsel on a wide variety of drug and device development legal and regulatory issues.

• As a strategic partner, work to identify and advise on business and regulatory issues with important legal implications both independently and as part of a larger team.

Basic Qualifications:

J.D. degree or LL.M. degree from an ABA accredited law school, admission to practice law in a U.S. jurisdiction and four (4) years of experience practicing law

Preferred Qualifications:

• 6+ years of experience as an attorney in a large law firm, biopharmaceutical company, or in a major government agency practicing law related to biotechnology, pharmaceutical, device and/or healthcare.

• Experience working with the FDA and the laws and regulations relating to the discovery, development, approval, sales & marketing of biotechnology/pharmaceutical/device products (including federal and state anti-kickback and healthcare/fraud and abuse laws).

• Experience with clinical and consultant contracts, and/or products liability.

• Excellent interpersonal skills.

• Ability to handle, prioritize and follow through on diverse issues on a timely basis.

• Resourceful and able to participate in highly collaborative, cross-functional team-oriented environment.

Senior Medical Science Liaison

Let’s do this. Let’s change the world. In this vital role you will interact with Cardiometabolic Opinion Leaders and Healthcare Decision Makers to communicate and advance the scientific platform as aligned with Amgen's goals and objectives.

This is a field-based position for the Cardiometabolic Senior Medical Science Liaison (CVM Sr MSL) therapeutic area within the US Medical team. The territory is Manhattan.

• Educate and communicate clinical value, outcomes, and economic data to payers, providers, key stakeholders, advocacy, and access enablers

• Provide in depth clinical and economic support to payers, IDNs, and formulary committees, providing feedback to key internal stakeholders on customer trends in interpreting and using value evidence, reimbursement, and payer policy. May serve as main medical point of contact at prioritized local payer, regional payer, and IDN accounts

• Respond to unsolicited inquiries consistent with the MSL compliance standards

• Provide and/or present field observations and insights to internal stakeholders

• Implement scientific engagement plan according to annual MSL goals and metrics

• Develop and implement local OL plans in line with SEP

• Support speaker training as requested and ensure the speakers are updated on new data

• Support Amgen sponsored research and may serve as a study lead

• Educate potential investigators on the submission process for investigator sponsored studies

• Lead and/or participate on project teams that support MSL strategies and tactics as delegated by MSL leadership

• Lead and support congress activities as aligned with strategy. May serve as congress lead

• Compliantly collaborate with cross-functional colleagues.

SENIOR RESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT LABORATORY TECHNICIAN

Where will you work: Onsite at New Wales, FL (3095 Hwy 640 W, Mulberry, FL 33860)

Assist process chemist in performing R&D test work. Accurately prepare, analyze, and record data on all samples as well as prepare reports and maintain database records.  Staff for this role perform critical functions related to R&D, analysis which may contain sensitive information and may involve work with materials not routinely used in the lab.  Knowledge of and proficiency in complex tasks involving hazardous materials beyond the scope of routine work usually conducted in concentrates lab.  Demonstrated cross functionality with roles at other sites and support for chemists, engineers.

What you’ll do?

• Perform calculations, review data for accuracy, prepare reports and maintain database records.
• Collect, identify, and prepare various samples for analysis.
• Perform analysis using hazardous chemicals and prescribed procedures to determine quality of product samples.
• Use and maintain various types of laboratory equipment and instruments.
