Step Teachers are currently looking for a qualified Science Teacher on behalf of a secondary school in Tower Hamlets to start ASAP until the end of the academic year.
This is a ‘Good’ OFSTED-rated school which has been graded ‘Outstanding’ previously. The school is seeking a Science Teacher who will readily engage with the school’s ethos and values. The role is open to experienced and ECT Teachers alike.
Role:
- Good knowledge of the science curriculum at all key stages plus experience of teaching at A-Level is highly desirable.
- Maintain an organised and professional classroom with all the associated resources.
- Work effectively with other members of staff, both within the department and throughout the school.
- As a Science Teacher, you must have the ability to assess students, monitor their progress, and provide constructive feedback.
- Compliance with the schools’ policies and the reliable implementation of these.
Requirements:
- Hold QTS or an equivalent qualification for teaching in secondary school.
- Have recent mainstream school-based experience teaching science at the secondary school level.
- Have a good level of classroom and behaviour management.
- A relevant science-related degree is desirable.
- SEND experience is also desirable.
