The Senior Sales Research Consultant plays a critical role in supporting Cielo’s growth and client retention strategies by researching and summarizing market, industry and specific organizational insights.. The consultant ensures that all research reports are consistent with Cielo’s brand and contribute to the company’s leadership in talent acquisition solutions.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Research, define, analyze, and communicate global talent landscape and key talent acquisition trends, along with industry-specific insights for Cielo’s core industries and regions.

ABOUT THIS JOB

We are looking for a Senior Gas Analyst to join the Asia Pacific (APAC) Markets team, within our Global Gas & LNG research practice. Our APAC Markets team delivers industry-leading research and consulting based on our assessment of Gas Market fundamentals.

The Gas & LNG research practice at Wood Mackenzie leverages unique, proprietary information and modelling to serve clients, and together we work with a range of clients including national and major oil companies, utilities, investment banks, and institutional investors. Main Responsibilities

As part of the APAC gas markets team, you will deliver world-class Research, Data, and Insight focusing on the South Asia/Southeast Asia/Australia markets including detailed market fundamentals, prices, contracts, investment trends, projects and corporate insights, ranging from coverage of current market events through to the role of gas and gas assets in the energy transition.

• Build and develop high-quality research and leverage your analytical expertise and subject knowledge of South Asia/Southeast Asia/Australia gas markets.

In the Carbon team we model greenhouse gas emissions across a number of different sectors and value chains, including oil and gas, metals and mined commodities. We support clients across the energy value chain to understand and respond to market and portfolio-related climate risks and opportunities by providing comprehensive, decision-useful carbon data and analytics. Some of the services we provide include calculation and benchmarking of emissions across the full value chain of commodities, tracking and forecasting of carbon prices, and research and reporting on carbon markets.

Role Purpose

This role will serve as part of Wood Mackenzie’s Carbon research team, and is global in its nature rather than being focused on a specific region. This is an excellent opportunity to join a strong, global team and make a major contribution to decarbonization and the energy transition at a global scale.

You work together with our other global Carbon team members and with other research teams to lead the expansion, improvement and calibration of cement emissions modelling and assumptions, to ensure we have strong and reliable data and outputs and remain at the leading edge of this critical analysis.

You will work with other research teams to develop a value-chain and corporate view of carbon emissions in the cement value chain, and to improve coverage of additional greenhouse gas emissions beyond carbon. You will also work with other teams to integrate carbon pricing assumptions into our models, to continue improving the assessment of assets’ and companies’ value at risk from carbon emissions.

Emissions data and modelling contributes to Wood Mackenzie’s Emissions Benchmarking Tool (EBT), Lens and numerous other tools and services; as such, you will become a go-to person to support internal stakeholders including other research and consulting teams. Importantly, you will also develop your own relationships with industry partners. This will be to establish a knowledge base to test assumptions on methodologies, as well as to represent Wood Mackenzie’s research in a high-quality way to customers.

• We are looking for an Analyst or Associate – the role will be assigned based on candidate’s experience.
• The candidate is expected to: Work with more senior analysts to Develop a methodology to calculate asset-level scope 1-2-3 emissions for cement plants.
• Apply a value chain and a corporate approach for emissions from cradle to grave, and correctly attributing emissions (also beyond carbon) to the relevant entities in the value chain:
• Ensure our published emissions datasets are of the highest quality by developing a framework for data sources and benchmark against public and corporate data  
• Collaborate effectively with colleagues in the Carbon team and others in research to establish best practice and consistency across all commodities for GHG emissions. Develop insights and other research to highlight interesting and relevant trends in cement emissions and decarbonization.
• Be comfortable challenging and being challenged and effective at adapting engagement style and tone to reflect counterparty approach.
