Video content is an increasingly important part of our digital offering, with demand only expected to grow over the coming years. In response to this, SMG is looking for experienced Video Producers to form part of a new team - Delivering Digital Reach, producing innovative YouTube content that engages audience and expands the reach of the five Museums that make up SMG.
To support this work, we are now recruiting for a Video Producer (Delivering Digital Reach) to join us at the Science Museum in London, working full-time (35 hours per week) on a fixed-term contract until the end of September 2025.
About the role
As Video Producer (Delivering Digital Reach), you will develop, produce, shoot and edit engaging video content for the Science Museum Group's YouTube channels. You will be collaborating with the project team and other key stakeholders to develop concepts, manage feedback and obtain sign-off.
You will take a test-and-learn approach by reviewing previous content and analysing and incorporating successful approaches in subsequent work through the development of repeatable formats.
About you
We're looking for people teeming with ideas for new stories and formats, as well the technical expertise to execute them. You will have a track record of creating successful YouTube content for similar, well-established channels and an excellent understanding of what makes YouTube audiences tick. An interest in science and technology is essential.
Crucially, you will be able to prioritise and manage a variety of tasks, using your time management skills to meet deadlines. You will be a good communicator, able to work with others and collaborate effectively.
