Baggage Operations Driver

Local airport business seeking a reliable and hardworking individual to join their warehouse team as an operator/driver. In this dual-role position, you will be responsible for handling and transporting luggage in surrounding areas and London. Ensuring the luggage is delivered safely and efficiently back to its rightful owner.

This role requires flexibility, as it includes both weekday and occasional weekend/evening and early morning work.

Key Responsibilities:

• Load and unload luggage from vehicles, ensuring careful handling to prevent damage.
• Transport luggage to and from various locations, including airports, hotels, and other destinations.
• Operate company vans (Berlingo & Transit sized) for luggage collection and delivery.
• Maintain accurate records of luggage handling and delivery activities.
• Communicate effectively with team members and customers to ensure smooth operations.
• Adhere to all safety and security guidelines while handling and transporting luggage.
• Perform routine vehicle checks to ensure vans are in good working condition.

Requirements:

• Must be over 25 years old due to insurance requirements.
• Valid clean driver's license with no more than 3 points.
• Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not required.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to lift and move heavy luggage safely.
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Flexibility to work weekends and evenings as required.
• Successful candidates will be required to complete a full 5 years referencing.

Working Hours:

• Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM, with a half-hour break.
• Additional hours for luggage collection and delivery outside of standard working hours, compensated with time off in lieu or extra pay, as discussed.

Compensation:

• Salary: £24,000 per annum
• 20 days of annual leave plus bank holidays

OCEAN IMPORTS COORDINATOR

Reporting to the Customer Service Manager, the primary goal is providing excellent customer service to our customers and overseas partners.

This includes processing import jobs from booking to delivery, including costing and invoicing and completing all HMRC Customs Clearance requirements for our clients.

Working closely with the Commercial Team on development of all Ocean freight services.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Prioritise workflow to ensure all aspects of work are carried out in a timely manner.

Work closely with your colleagues to ensure we maintain the highest possible operational performance and customer service.

Develop constructive relationships with key customers and suppliers assisting in resolving any concerns and implementing any corrective action.

Maintain effective communication and relationships with our overseas partners. Ocean Imports Freight team.

• Ensure all consignments are loaded onto our system prior to/on departure either manually or via EDI checking accuracy of paperwork and information provided.

• All pre alert documentation must be received from the overseas partners prior to or on the same day of departure. Ocean Imports customer services.

• Ensure we have all the relevant information and instructions from customers to complete custom clearance on imports to allow release of cargo. Ocean Imports.

• Provide Transport Companies with all the relevant information to ensure customer delivery requirements are met.

• Ensure you do not import or release orders without receiving all monies owed on non-credit account clients and all Import Duty & Vat have been paid.

• Ensure all files are costed and invoiced prior to delivery.

• Liaise with customers and colleagues to ensure all customer spreadsheets and special instructions are followed.

• Identify and provide early warning to your direct line manager on any issues and problems that could have an adverse effect on deadlines. If not available, escalate to the account manager shown on the client file.

• Take ownership of accounting issues and queries as and when directed by management, ensuring these are dealt with within 48 hours.

• Assist with insurance claims in line with company procedures as and when requested by management.

• Complete weekly & month end routines as directed by your line manager.

• Ensure all Client SOP's & SLA's are followed at all times.

Hours from 6.30am starts

Role:

Driving class II dustcart around various residential and commercial dwellings within Essex locations primarily Basildon, Thurrock, Southend, Billericay, Braintree and the list goes on..

Collection of residential refuse, from Wheelie bins, Glass, Waste Containers, bags black or Orange waste collections.

Carry out daily vehicle inspections before starting your round.

Drive with gang to your allotted areas, at time can assist with refuse loading.

Require

• Full UK driving Licence
• CPC and tacho Digi card
• MUST have PREVIOUS experience for these roles essential for this position

Royal Mail Delivery Driver - Chingford

We are looking for Delivery Drivers to join Royal Mail with starts as soon as possible.

As a Delivery Driver, you will be responsible for helping to sort mail, make deliveries and collections on time and on your pre-planned route. You will be representing Royal Mail, so we are looking for friendly people with great customer service skills.

This will involve postal walking.

Shift patterns:

· Full Time (8.00am start)

· Working 5 days of the week across Monday to Saturday with 1 day off in week

· Overtime is available when required

Flexibility is required around start and finish times as you may need to start slightly earlier or finish later than your shift.

What skills and experience should you have?

· Experience of driving a 3.5t delivery van is preferred, but it's not essential

· A 'can do' approach and be confident working to tight deadlines

· Ability to lift and load parcels weighing up to 30kg

· Experience in a customer facing role is preferred, but it's not essential

Pay: £15.71

Start time 8.00am between Monday -Saturday

Driving licence requirements must have held full UK driving licence for more than 6 months
