At Gregory Distribution, we are currently seeking a Transport Operator in our busy client site in Avonmouth. This position will be working within the transport team and will involve all aspect of the transport administration processes and coordination of the day to day running of this busy contract.

The position of Transport Operator involves:

• Assist the Transport Manager to manage and motivate the transport team to ensure that staff and assets are used effectively to attain maximum performance in terms of commercial contract efficiency, profit and client service levels.
• Provide leadership of day to day transport issues, including dispatch debrief and work in progress.
• You will also be required to work closely with our customer to ensure the smooth running of the operation as a whole.
• Managing and de-briefing drivers.
• Maximise the use of resources within the operation by utilising assets to the full and planning ahead.
• Provide regular reports to the Transport Manager on customer related and other relevant matters, making recommendations where relevant.
• Monitoring and auditing Health and Safety.
• Answering all queries via email, phone and face to face.
• Assisting in production of KPI's and daily statistics.
• Assist with compliance planning in line with company procedure.
• Direct assistance and support for breakdowns.
• Promoting and maintaining positive relationships with colleagues and offering support and assistance in your role as a team member.

Essential skills required for Transport Operator:

• Previous experience working in a transport environment to include knowledge of working time directive and EU driver's hours.
• Ability to communicate at all levels.
• Strong geographical knowledge of the UK.
• Excellent organisational skills and prioritising workload.
• Attention to detail is critical and working to deadlines daily.
• Able to work as part of a team and on your own initiative.
• MS packages to include, Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Your role as a full-time Delivery Driver:

Requirements as a full time Delivery Driver:

BRISTOL VAN DRIVER

We are recruiting Van Drivers on behalf of some established delivery companies across Bristol to deliver parcels and packages to residential and business properties in allocated postcodes.

Pay Rate £117 Per Day for a Van Driver

Key information for applicants:-

• Average of 9 hours a day.
• Start times between 10:00-11:30am each day – these times can be variable depending on needs of business.
• Some weekend work is required,
• Part-Time Roles available,
• Role involves loading and unloading of own van on daily basis and approx. 90-120 drops on fixed geographical routes. Some collections involved.
• Physical fitness is important as you will be responsible for loading and unloading your vehicle and entering properties that will involve using stairs etc.
• Applicants will be driving a 3.5 ton vehicle
• DBS Check will be required prior to commencing employment. This is paid for.
• Successful applicants will be required to attend an interview with the client.
• Training is approx 4 days and is fully paid.
• Drug and Alcohol test will be required before training commences and random test carried out during employment.
