• Performs a variety of warehousing tasks within the Devens Reserve Forces Training Area, Training Support Center, Devens, Massachusetts.
• Performs duties in support of the receipt, issue, inspecting, testing, and warehousing.
• Provides customers with classroom, hands on, written, or other training, as necessary, on the full range of equipment within the Training Support Center inventory.
• Drives trucks with up to five ton capacity. Hauls articles and materials on and off post on public roads and highways, to maintenance repair facilities, and Defense Re-utilization Marketing Office.

• Observes, documents, and evaluates carrier and contractor performance. Inspects contractor's performance at owner's residence and at warehouse during packing, crating, loading, shipping, unloading, uncrating and unpacking.
• Counsels members regarding policies and procedures for the proper preparation of personal property for shipment and/or storage, including specialized items, to domestic and overseas locations.
• Prepares documentation reporting carrier performance using automated systems. Observes, documents, and evaluates performance of contractor on packing, containerization, and local drayage of personal property.
• Provides oversight of the Direct Procurement Method (DPM) contract. Serves as a Quality Assurance Evaluator (QAE), functionally qualified to ensure the Air Force receives quality contractor performed services and pays only for acceptable services received.

• Executes the demand planning program for a complex portfolio of weapons systems and/or component piece parts.
• Evaluates and synthesizes analysis provided to resolve difficult demand planning issues involving processes, work methods, supply data management, and day-to-day operational procedures for assigned secondary items.
• Develops options to allow for differing or conflicting program requirements that cover multiple supply objectives including inventory management for assigned commodities.
• Supports supply chain management integration across the IPS Elements to optimize repair parts (Class II and IX) for system suitability, affordability, reliability, availability, maintainability.
• Provides demand planning, forecasting program, and process interpretations and recommendations to management officials and other supply specialists at the same and lower levels of the organization.
• Validates higher headquarters planning at the National Item Identification Number (NIIN) level, program level planning assumptions, return and demand history, and Foreign Military Sales (FMS) requirements.
• Provides direct support to the Supply Planner regarding validation and correction of independent demand forecasts and generates forecast(s) reflecting all known planning assumptions to support monthly analysis and reporting operations.
• Monitors the status and effectiveness of material support provided as a result of forecasting techniques by identifying, analyzing, and resolving problems.
• Uses Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems to review demand history, apply demand plan adjustments, and generate forecasts.
• Coordinates with various stakeholders such as the weapon system team and the systems analysts to maintain complete and correct demand material master coding in the ERP system by submitting change requests to the material master cell.

• Serves as the work leader by communicating assignments, explaining team goals and objectives, and observes and coaches the activities of three or more employees.
• Responsible for the coordination on all aspects of shipping/storage of goods.
• Interprets guidelines and instructions, determines the approach, and adapts the process, to resolve customer concerns, prioritizing workflow tasks for action.
• Estimates or validates charges, not limited to handling services, temporary storage, third-party services, mileage rates and accessorial services.
• Conducts statistical samplings and audits to execute program oversight of commercial industry, prioritizing actionable tasks.

The primary purpose of this position is: To serve as an Air Reserve Technician (ART) Aircraft Maintenance Unit (AMU) Chief, exercising technical and administrative supervision over subordinate supervisors and workers engaged in ground handling, servicing, inspection, condition evaluation, test and repair of assigned and transient aircraft in an integrated environment. To train reservists in the duties and responsibilities set forth herein.

DUTIES:
Duty 1 - Performs work planning responsibilities. Plans on a quarterly or longer basis the overall use of personnel and other resources in a SGF controlled through one or more levels of supervision.
Duty 2 - Performs work direction responsibilities. Assigns and explains work requirements and operating instructions to subordinate supervisors, sets deadlines and establishes the sequence of work operations to be followed.
Duty 3 - Performs administrative responsibilities. Participates with/through 2-3 levels of supervisors/employees involved in the maintenance production of a range of occupations.
