As a SUPPLY TECHNICIAN (TITLE 32), GS-2005-7, you will perform routine and nonroutine material coordination duties for special programs, maintenance, or production shops; be responsible for local management of decentralized and decontrolled items which require technical intervention to assure effective supply support and economy; plan requirements, both quantitative and monetary, to satisfy customer needs; authorize procurement and be responsible for funds management; be responsible for limited aspects of storage management; develop and install local procedures and techniques to achieve and maintain smooth, effective, and coordination storage operations.

• Maintains stock at primary and secondary inventory locations for all clinical and administrative services. This involves pulling stock inventory and material from main inventory for delivery; replenishing stock inventory; interacting with clinical and administrative customers to ensure issues and needs are identified and either resolved or escalated to supervisors or Inventory Management Specialists as needed; maintaining records on stock levels; recommending revisions in stock levels as needed to supply changes to Inventory Management Specialists; communicating to the supervisor any concerns related to supplies, equipment and procedures, providing information as needed orally or in writing regarding customer or external stakeholder issues, general telephone inquiries and visitor referrals; communicating with customers and vendors to obtain information regarding medical supplies.

• Performs daily inventory of primary and secondary inventory points using bar coding equipment on a predetermined schedule that will allow for timely replenishment orders. Resolves differences between records and physical count of stock.
• Distributes items according to established or ad hoc requirements in computerized inventory management systems such as GIP. Utilizes a pager or similar device to expedite the pick/delivery of items needed in user areas throughout the facility. Fills requests for items based on daily schedules of need or on an emergent basis as appropriate.
• Delivers supplies in a timely and accurate manner, ensuring that supplies and material delivered are in sterile and operational condition.
• Deliveries will be to wards, clinics and other secondary locations that may be in remote sites. Delivery by motor vehicle may be required.
• Completes specialty cart preparation and stocking.
• Cleans assigned secondary areas in accordance with aseptic principles as published in infection control guidelines, local Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and Joint Commission standards as scheduled.

• Receives supplies and material into the VA Health Care System and supported catchment area. Unpacks/uncrates supplies from shipping cartons; properly stores supplies and material in main/primary inventory areas. Stores items in accordance with established guidelines, utilizing a computerized inventory system, to ensure sterility and integrity of the supplies and material and the data integrity of the inventory management system. Through periodic inventory and discussion with ward and clinical personnel, maintains stock levels, returns reusable supplies to the distribution area, and informs clinic and ward personnel on new or changed items and supplies, current medical supply resources, and shelf life.

This position is located in the Sortie Generation Section of the Aircraft Generation Division within the Logistics Directorate of an Air National Guard Flying Wing. Its purpose is to act as the crew chief with responsibility for directing the total maintenance effort on individually assigned aircraft. The work involves the total maintenance of complex, high performance military aircraft,ranging from multi-purpose heavy, multi-engine transports to the most modern sophisticated fighters and bombers. Fully responsible for providing detailed technical insight on individual aircraft's level of Mission Capability (MC), then develops and recommends a comprehensive course of action to maintain the aircraft at Full Mission Capability (FMC). All aircraft are fully integrated in andare part of the Total Force Mission of the United States Air Force. This position is responsible to fully prepare assigned aircraft for Aerospace Expeditionary Force/Wing (AEF/AEW) Operations around the world.

This technician position serves as a Pneudraulic Svstem Mechanic within a fuel systems shop responsible for inspection, repair and maintenance of aircraft fuel cells, water injection, entidetonant (ADI), and inflight refueling systems. Utilizing extensive knowledge of fuel systems maintenance practices and procedures, incumbent troubleshoots the systems and determines extent and tvpe of preventive and/or repair maintenance required and performs all necessary repairs, installation, and operational checks.

Supervisory Medical Supply Technician duties includes but are not limited to the following:

• Responsible for assisting the Chief, Sterile Processing Services (SPS), in oversight of all operational and administrative activities of the service.
• Responsible for the quality management system activities within Sterile Processing Services, to include training, competency assessment, development, and enforcement of standard operating procedures.
• Through subordinate supervisors provides technical and direct supervision to over 24 GS3/4 through GS8 Medical Supply Technicians.
• Manages, directs, and adapts work to accomplish program goals and objectives, and to meet new and changing program requirements.
• Serves as liaison between SPS and other departments.

Supervises the work of budget analysts with the responsibility for ensuring timely performance and quality of work, evaluating performance of staff against established standards for performance, and administering leave, hours of work, and counseling on other administrative matters.

Formulates and develops strategy of agency budget requests and prepares the analyses on the impacts to the agency. This includes developing and preparing budgetary information, summaries, and tables to respond to a variety of specific requests and to facilitate the presentation of the budget.
