The Role
As a Supply Planner, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. Working as part of a newly formed supply planning team, you will be instrumental in ensuring supply availability meets operational demands.
Day-to-day, you'll provide material and inventory analysis on a unit by unit basis whilst mitigating any potential supply risks.
- Managing material requisitions through Babcock's ERP system
- Provide interface between project/production and supply chain
- Optimise planning for supply for planned / scheduled emergent works
- Reviewing inventory levels with a view to taking corrective action when needed
- Forward planning to identify supply risks
This role is full time, 37 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements with 3 days in the onsite and 1.5 days working from home.
Agile working may be available to employees in some instances, applying the principles of fairness and consistency whilst ensuring that the overriding business needs can be appropriately met. Experience required of the Supply Planner
- Experience in the use of MPS / MRP systems
- Knowledge of inventory planning and control techniques
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel advantageous
- Excellent analytical, planning and organisational skills
Qualifications for the Supply Planner
- Minimum Level 2 NVQ in relevant subject
