Job Description
We have an opening for a Research Fellow (Transportation) in areas related to traffic operations, traffic control, simulation, and connected and automated vehicles (CAVs). Specifically, we expect the selected candidate to lead and pursue high-quality research on intelligent transportation systems, including but not limited to (1) traffic flow theory, (2) traffic control in urban and highway contexts, (3) vehicle dynamics and control, (4) optimization of transportation infrastructure, and (5) data privacy and security. In addition to research, the selected candidate is expected to help draft research proposals and supervise graduate and undergraduate students.
Qualifications
• Possess a PhD in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or other closely related fields.
• Research experience in Intelligent Transportation Systems with excellent publication record.
• Good programming and analytical skills.
• Expertise in control theory, optimization, game theory, and machine learning is highly preferable.
• Good technical proposal writing and presentation skills.
• Able to plan and organize well and adhere to the deadline.
• Able to perform research in a multidisciplinary team,
• Open to fixed-term contract
