In this unique role you'll get an opportunity to practise and enhance your people leadership skills, and grow your operational management skills. This role reports to the Operations Manager of the hotel and takes ownership over The Social, our in house restaurant and collaborates closely with the Sales and Marketing and Kitchen teams to ensure our functions and conferences are a wonderful experience.
The key responsibilities in this role are unique to this hotel and include:
- Rostering to ensure coverage is maintained at all time - this includes supporting the team to find coverage during times of illness
- Being an integral part of service - there are times when you will be the only person on shift and it's a requirement that you are a 'hands-on' professional.
- Ownership of guest experience in the restaurant
- Ordering and Stock Control - You will have responsibility of all ordering and inventory for the restaurant and liaising with the Executive Chef and Sales and Marketing for conferences and events
- Reporting responsibilities - this includes daily, weekly, and monthly reporting requirements
- Ensuring the team are trained as F&B superstars and are also growing and learning new skills for their own development
- Recruitment for the team as required with the assistance of the Talent and Culture Manager
