As part of corporate “Future” programme Asda will be separating away from Walmart and its systems that will all be replaced over the next 12 months. This will mean that our technology team will be partnering with many new market suppliers to provide new best in class services.









Scope of the role

As a junior supplier manager /specialist you will be responsible for several supplier relationships and service contracts that provide support or services to our stores, distribution centres and home offices for hardware, software or license subscription services.

-Follow the contract lifecycle.

-Lead and coordinate the weekly service reviews and monthly performance reviews, ensuring the supplier performance is as per the contractual obligations.

-Responsible for supplier senior level relationship and escalations

-Ensure service improvement plans are in place for each team.

-Manage and forecast operating cost budgets contributing to £300m total spend.

-Identify opportunities for cost savings - Asda “save money work smarter” spend initiatives.

-Understand I.T roadmaps and ensure that hardware and or software is replaced or updated as required.

-Build effective working relationships with service and procurement teams.

-Influence supplier contract negotiations to ensure the best outcome for Asda.

-Contribute to contract negotiations.

-Manage external partners, legal and procurement.

-Work closely with the Asda Transition team to ensure that robust service models are in place for any new service.

-Monitor product and service performance to identify trends.

-Experience of managing I.T partner / supplier resources, made up of onshore and offshore delivery centres.

The role currently focusses on the areas of Financial Services (predominantly FCA regulations) and Telecoms (predominantly OFCOM regulations) although a flexible approach is required to adapt to emerging / changing regulatory regimes and company risk appetite and activity.

You'll report into the Senior Manager for the Financial Crime & Financial Services Compliance Team and help to:

-Horizon scan, risk assess and be curious on emerging compliance risks that may impact Asda, supporting the Senior Manager in ensuring the resources of the team are best applied to the risks facing Asda.

-Support the development and implementation of Asda's FSC programme including drafting policy documents, guidance, process flows, ways of working, forms and checklists to be utilised both within the team and by the business.

Your Role

You will manage our Voice of the Customer programme and will help to shape and drive the delivery of our customer experience strategy. You will work as part of the broader Customer Experience team to understand and measure our customer journeys and touchpoints, running performance deep dives and identifying pain points and opportunities to better serve our customers.

Working with our partner agency, you will be responsible for managing our customer experience measurement programme (Tell Asda). You will continuously look to industry best practice and innovate how we run them to draw timely and actionable insights, always optimising MI efficiency, timeliness and impact.

You will ensure customers are at the heart of Asda's strategic and investment decisions and work with the broader team to drive actions and innovation to optimise the CX in order to generate higher retention and loyalty. You will do this through leading the understanding, measuring and monitoring our CX performance across channels at both an operational and strategic/propositional level.

You will build strong relationships with teams across the business, especially our retail, online groceries and contact centre partners, to understand their challenges and priorities and drive actions through insight delivery.



About You

-You have extensive experience of managing customer experience measurement and reporting programmes and delivering quantitative research and performance deep dives within customer experience to identify the key drivers of CX performance.

-You have experience in quantifying the impact of CX on the business and assessing the ROI of CX interventions, by leveraging business, commercial and operational data from different sources to support value-based decisions.

-You are customer-obsessed with a desire to effect change on behalf of customers.

-You have strong project management and prioritisation skills as well as the ability to work proactively.

-You have the ability to build and maintain great agency relationships and to network across functions, influencing decisions.

-You have strong analytical and data visualisation skills but also show you can embody the ‘voice of the customer' and story tell using data from numerous sources and methodologies.

Within the role, you will work alongside store and regional management, internal Asda departments and external contractors/consultants to co-ordinate the implementation of fixtures for Asda's Trading change programme within agreed timescales, to cost and quality, whilst complying with all Health & Safety legislation and Asda processes.

You will:

-Assist in developing the optimum scope of works for a scheme and align with other Retail Development works where possible to support Every Day Lower Cost

-Work with internal and external Cost Administration to ensure all projects are loaded onto the system in a timely manner with all corresponding quotes

-Maintain relevant and transparent project status information. This includes the review of issued documentation, contractor reports etc. to ensure projects are kept on track with minimal disruption and issues dealt accordingly whilst proactively looking to highlight and develop any new initiatives to improve delivery/cost

-Ensure Projects are managed in line with work-stream / category budgets.

-Management of design team, contractors, and consultants to ensure Compliance of and implementation of ASDA's Model specification/Way of Working and Construction Design and Management Regulations

-PC and Legislative completion including Building Legal obligations - E.g., Planning, Building Warrants, Landlord approvals etc. are obtained

-Provide constructive feedback to Commercial, Sales floor Planning and Trading teams on suppliers, store layouts and modular performance

At Asda Mobile, we are on an accelerated growth journey to transform our business and we have an exciting opportunity for a new Marketing Manager for Offline Marketing and Handsets to join the Asda Mobile leadership team.

As the Marketing Manager for Offline Marketing and Handsets you will:



-Work closely with the Marketing Manager for Online and CRM to collectively grow the Asda Mobile business through brilliant acquisition plans.

-Be responsible for the offline marketing plan for all Asda Mobile products including Handsets, Accessories, Pay as You Go and Pay Monthly contracts to drive the sales and customers we need to deliver our plans.

-Be comfortable owning a plan and working with cost per acquisition targets.

-Work with our agencies to execute the marketing activity, ensuring collaborating with the Online Marketing Manager to ensure alignment of messages they are executing online

-Work in partnership with Online Marketing Manager for all online handset marketing activity required - providing detailed briefs to ensure activity is aligned to what's happening offline.

-Collaborate with the Handset buying team and Handset Brands to create exceptional campaigns to drive customer acquisition.

-Have experience in and be confident in owning of a large marketing budget

-Ensure that all activity is measurable and use data to better inform what marketing channels we use, and what creative routes resonate the most with our customers

-Be the champion of analysis - enjoy building out your performance reporting suite and then be confident presenting your recommendations for the future to the leadership team.

-Make decisions based on what is best for our customers, with a clear understanding of the regulatory environments we operate in

-Develop and enhance the awareness and PR strategy for Asda Mobile, working with our PR and Marketing Agencies

-Line manage 2 colleagues, supporting day to day work and their personal development

This high-profile role will see you operate across all levels of the Asda business and work closely with new colleagues that have come into the Asda Express family from Euro Garages and the Co-Op. You will be responsible for the smooth running of our convenience estate, drawing on experience of Asda Main Estate, Euro Garages and Coop processes to ultimately decide on the best operating model for these shops. You will also play an important role in supporting the design and delivery of new processes and the launch of a brand new system as part of the Future programme.
