The post offered is that of Consultant Psychiatrist in General Adult Psychiatry (10PA), to join the excellent MDT on Thames Ward. This is one of three mixed gender adult psychiatric wards located within the Dennis Scott Unit, Edgware Community Hospital. Thames ward is embedded within the Hospital Services division. The ward is a 20-bed mixed gender acute adult psychiatric ward at the Dennis Scott Unit, Edgware Community Hospital. The ward has 20 beds, however there are internal arrangements to cover the two outstanding beds thus the post holder will be responsible for 18 beds.

• To lead the morning ward meeting (Flow meeting) with the ward manager.
• To ensure the timely assessment and treatment of patients admitted to the ward.
• To hold responsible clinician responsibilities with attendance at and report writing for Mental Health Tribunals and Manager Hearings.
• To facilitate access to a range of community orientated services through liaison with community consultants and teams.
• To liaise closely with the relevant Crisis Resolution and Home Treatment Teams and crisis houses to facilitate early discharge of patients back into the community.
• To liaise effectively with other Trust services and external partner agencies in the best interests of patients.
• To promote mental health and independence for all.

To provide a specialist clinicalpsychology service to clients served by theNorth Central London Home Treatment Team, and Beacon Day Service. The NHS Barnet and Enfield Talking Therapies service is looking for a full time data analyst while our existing and permanent data analyst takes up a senior secondment position for 12 months. We are looking for someone who has experience in a similar analytical role and managing large sets of data with patient case management systems.

We are looking to appoint a qualified and experiencedCAMHS Therapist (e.g. Clinical Psychologist/Nurse/Family Therapist/Child Psychotherapist/Social Worker etc.) to the post based in the Barnet Enhanced Support Team at Barnet CAMHS



The Barnet Enhanced Support Team is a specialist multi-disciplinary CAMHS team who provide psychiatric and therapeutic intervention for the more high risk and challenging adolescents (aged 13-18) from across the borough of Barnet. This team has a particular focus on deliberate self harm, suicidal intent, severe mental health difficulties, those from complex families who may have suffered abuse or trauma, hard to engage adolescents, and those struggling to manage the transition to adulthood.



The team has a network of links to generic CAMHS, other adolescent services within the community and with Barnet Hospital, Adult Mental Health Services and the Tier 4 Adolescent Inpatient units as well as Youth Offending Services and the voluntary sector.

To provide a specialist clinicalpsychology service to clients served by theNorth Central London Home Treatment Team, and Beacon Day Service. The post holder will be a qualified Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner and will be at least one year post qualification. An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated Band 7 CAMHS Crisis Team – Clinical Specialist to join our innovative and dynamic team at the Barnet CAMHS.

The BEH CAMHS – A&E Diversion Crisis Hub was created in March 2020 in response to the Covid-19 pandemic which seen the temporary closures of the Paediatric Department /reduced offer at Acute hospitals across the North Central London (NCL) sector to manage acute mental health crisis presentation in children, young people (CYP).

The post Holder will be required to assess patients across the urgent care pathway, working autonomously and flexibly to manage the day to day assessments and/or advising on management of CYP under the age of 18 years and their families presenting in the A&E liaison/diversion HUB/paediatric wards at BEH, Barnet General & North Middlesex University Hospital with self-harm and mental health difficulties and all other crisis colleagues across the North Central London (NCL).

This post holder will be required to undertake a range of therapeutic tasks individually and jointly with members of the multi-disciplinary team. To develop & maintain specialist clinical skills and expertise in the assessment of CYP psychiatric emergencies and deliberate self-harm. To receive and assess referrals from A&E, paediatric/general wards, Community Teams, schools and health colleagues across the NCL as well as self-referrals from CYP and their families.

1.To undertake initial mental health and risk assessment of CYP who present with high risk and/or following acts of deliberate self-harm.

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, skilled, approachable and motivated consultant to join the Barnet Enfield and Haringey CAMHS division to help in managing the care of young people living requiring assessment and treatment within Barnet West CAMHS which is based at Edgware Community Hospital. This is an excellent opportunity for a consultant to work within a well-functioning and closely knit multidisciplinary team of committed professionals. This is an existing consultant post which has become vacant as the current post holder is taking on additional management responsibilities and is helping to set up the single point of access with the CAMHS division.



The person appointed to the post will be encouraged to develop their own interests and pursue research interest in collaboration with the child and adolescent research unit based at University College London CAMHS research unit led by Professor Argyris Stringaris. The consultants will be encouraged to participate in various QI projects across both services and participate in teaching medical students and psychiatry trainees as well.

The post is a Consultant Psychiatrist post working with children with mental health difficulties in the generic CAMHS pathway. It is a substantive/permanent post that has been established for many years in the Trust. The current post-holder is taking on management responsibilities. The post offered is that of a consultant psychiatrist in General Adult Psychiatry to work on Thames ward at the Dennis Scott Unit, Edgware Community Hospital, Barnet. The ward is a mixed gender acute psychiatric ward providing assessment and treatment for patients who cannot be safely managed in the community by our community teams or crisis resolution & home treatment teams.



The ward has 20 beds, however there are internal arrangements to cover the two outstanding beds thus the post holder will be responsible for 18 beds. The beds serve patients residing in the London Borough of Barnet, although the ward receives referrals from the other boroughs within the North Central London partnership (Barnet, Enfield and Haringey Mental Health Trust and Camden and Islington NHS Foundation Trust). On average there are 4-6 admissions per week to the ward.



This is a well-established substantive consultant post and is full-time for 10 Programmed Activities (PAs): 7.5 Direct Clinical Care (DCC) and 2.5 Supporting Professional Activities (SPAs). The post is replacement post available as a post holder has taken on a different role within the partnership and is currently being covered by a locum consultant.

The post offered is that of Consultant Psychiatrist in General Adult Psychiatry (10PA), working in the Barnet West Core Community Team. The team is aligned to the Primary Care GP Locality in the West of the Borough. The post holder will share consultant lead responsibilities with one part-time substantive consultant in the service, ensuring high quality, patient-centered, effective and safe care is delivered by the team. This post will have responsibility for adults with complex mental health presentations. The West Team is one of three adult core community teams (previously known as locality teams) within Barnet (North, South and West).

The service is for adults who are aged 18–65 and are experiencing a range of mental health difficulties and who may also have complex needs that would be best met by secondary mental health services. This includes individuals experiencing the following conditions: schizophrenia, bi-polar disorder, severe depression, anxiety, personality disorder and obsessive-compulsive disorders.
