The Senior Housekeeper is responsible for a high quality housekeeping service and ensuring the service promotes patient care on the hospital site. We are looking to appoint one Senior Housekeeper into a full-time position(37.5 Hours per week) to work within our Facilities team at BCHC Foundation Trust. The vacancy will be based predominantly Moseley Hall Hospital however you will need to have a flexible approach as you may be required to cover other colleagues across sites should the service demand it. We are one team and our service has to continue for the wellbeing of the patient

Monday to Sunday over a 5 day period (alternate weekends, possibly 1 in 3)



To work within the Trust Facilities Management structure to ensure that the housekeeping service supports its clinical colleagues, ensuring it integrates with Nursing in its provision of care and specifically Infection, Prevention and Control. Key skills here include the ability to work in an effective and efficient manner whilst integrating and supporting the Facilities services within the clinical teams at the location.

As a Senior Data Engineer, you will be responsible for the development and deployment of the Trust’s data within the data warehouse environment, which consists of multiple SQL Server databases that capture data from the Trust’s multiple data sources including Electronic Patient Record systems, Electronic Staff Records, Finance, and other disparate internal and external data sources. The post holder will work alongside other members of the Information and DevOps Team, to provide an appropriate platform to support the delivery of the information strategy required to deliver and underpin the Trust’s Strategic and operational objectives


• Working with other data engineers, the post holder will be responsible for the development and implementation of data models for operational, contractual, statistical and information aspects of the Trust; contributing to planning and formulation of strategies for Information.
• The post holder is responsible for the development and delivery of a comprehensive dataset framework incorporating all Trust systems within the data warehouse, for relational database modelling, master data management, application design with associated business rules.

• To take responsibility for the maintenance and continued development of contract and commissioning datasets including SUS, CDS and CSDS files
• Working with and assisting Data Base Administrators (DBAs) ,to design and develop the structure, procedures and functions of the Trust’s data warehouse data models. Including data security, responsibility for the administration of permissions to the Trust’s data warehouse datasets.
• To enable, promote and support the effective use of data, information, knowledge and technology to support and improve healthcare delivery.
• To develop automated data loading (ETL) and validation processes, at the same time maintaining efficient data warehouse metadata structures.
• To develop and extend expertise in database design concepts and SQL server language, including T-SQL, ETL (SSIS and/or DTS), SSAS and SSRS.
• To ensure high quality data warehouse security, putting in place robust security measures to allow adequate access for the required users whilst protecting sensitive patient-identifiable data

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the financial accounts team at Birmingham Community Healthcare NHS FT. This role will provide the successful candidate with experience across the financial accounts service, including reporting on debtors and creditors, maintenance of the trust's asset register and supporting the production of annual accounts for both the trust and its charitable fund. The successful candidate will be passionate about ensuring the financial accounts function supports the rest of the finance team, and the wider trust, in delivering their objectives.

Reporting to the Senior Financial Accountant, the post holder will be responsible for the preparation of the finance pack for the trust. The work includes the analysis of debtors and creditors for the trust, and the completion of other agreed financial accounts journals at month end.

The post holder will assist in the monthly monitoring of expenditure against the capital programme, the reporting of capital expenditure and the preparation and maintenance of the trust’s capital asset register

The post holder will assist with the preparation of the annual accounts, supporting working papers, and monthly returns to NHS Improvement (NHSI) for the trust and assist in the preparation of the annual Charitable Accounts for the Trust.

The post holder will lead on the quarterly agreement of balances exercises and will have close working relationships with senior managers within the finance and estates departments, as well as officers with the shared services provider East Lancashire Financial Services ELFS, the Government Banking Service, the Trust’s commercial bankers, other NHS trusts, payroll, and internal and external audit.

The financial accounts team, which sits within the wider corporate finance function, is vital in ensuring that the trusts balance sheet is managed and reported effectively, and that wider month- and year-end reporting, is completed accurately and in line with technical requirements.

The team comprises five posts, working face-to-face in the office for two days a week, with regular support via phone and Microsoft Teams while working from home.
