Long term opportunity for a Site Manager on an new industrial project worth £28m.

The project is phased out, the first phase is a Big Yellow Storage centre which is at groundworks stage right now. In November the second phase is 9 industrial units. Both projects are being built on the same plot which means the site will be logistically challenging.

We require a Site Manager to be predominately based on site and pushing delivery. You will need to have experience starting projects for ground works and handing them over. Steel frame is necessary.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Understanding the scope of their package.
• Attending and contributing in contractor pre start meetings.
• Attending and contributing in design team meetings.
• Chairing weekly sub-contractor progress meetings, taking and issuing meeting minutes.
• Attending safe starts.
• Approving RAMS.
• Attending DABS and contributing to the meeting, discussing coordination with other trades. If necessary taking the meeting, issuing the DABS report to all other team members.
• Enforcing H&S on site.
• Identifying potential problems, but offering buildability solutions.
• Someone who is tech savvy.
• Someone who can engage with the supply chain and other team members.

The contractor are a well respected main contractor who work across the UK and are busy in the South for 2025, if you do a strong job then a permanent contract will be available.

We are paying between £260-280 a day for the right candidate.

The role - Design Manager

As a Design Manager you will be a key part of the technical team and will be working on a £50m high rise development in Manchester.

You will be reporting into the Design Lead and Project Director who are overseeing the development and will be responsible for the following duties:

• Monitor and advise on the procurement of specialist subcontractor's design input in accordance with the Design Programme.
• Ensure that the requirements of the Design Management Plan (DMP) and the BIM Execution Plan (BEP) are achieved by all specialist design subcontractors.
• Assist in the commercial and technical review of specialist subcontract tender returns.
• Monitor and advise on the progress and production of specialist subcontractor's design documentation in accordance with the agreed Design Programme.
