About the Job
We have a great opportunity to join Games Workshop as a Trainee Tool Polisher. This exciting role will suit a person who is open to feedback, eager to improve, and willing to admit when they don't have all the answers. You will be part of a team that delivers tooling to manufacture the best quality fantasy miniatures in the world which are cherished and collected by our customers!
Working with the wider tooling team you will learn how to polish and hand finish all new injection mould tooling that makes all of our plastic products for Games Workshop.
You will receive training in polishing out surface finish defects in highly detailed steel and aluminium injection mould tool inserts using the latest ultrasonic polishing equipment. Excellent attention to detail and the highest levels of accuracy are required as you will be involved in the final stages of tool approval to achieve schedule deadlines.
Polishing to a very high level of detail and accuracy and remaining focussed whilst working through a long list of intricate polishing requirements is not easy and doing this consistently to a very busy schedule can be tough. If you are up to the challenge and pride yourself on your resilience and ability to thrive in high pressure situations, this role is for you!
A passion for engineering and a genuine interest in learning tooling techniques is required for this exciting opportunity.
