The desk itself is extremely well established and sits within a Finance recruitment hotbed that covers a large geographical area including multiple previous Hays Offices (Harrow, Wembley, Watford, Hemel Hempstead, St Albans and Luton). The Watford Finance team had previously billed over £1 million in a financial year.
This is currently both an interim and perm desk with a view that we will move this into a Perm and Temp split again further down the line. As mentioned, our geography is wide and our client base diverse.

I am excited to be working in partnership with a University who are looking to appoint a Senior Marketing Officer to join their Marketing and Communications team on a 1 year FTC.

They are seeking an ambitious, proactive marketing professional, who is passionate about developing campaigns, website strategy, media and external agency management from concept to implementation, to deliver outstanding results.
You will report to the Corporate Brand and Campaigns Manager. Your main role is to plan and deliver dedicated degree apprenticeship campaigns that engage their target audiences to build positive brand awareness that generates leads, in line with the university's objectives.


Working closely with their degree apprenticeships team and academic programme leaders to create unique selling points for the apprenticeship provision, creating compelling content for a range of channels.
You will be responsible for day-to-day management of the university's media agency to deliver paid for apprenticeship campaign activity, guided by the Corporate Brand and Campaigns Manager, by working collaboratively with other Marketing and Communications teams.

The ideal candidate will have proven experience of delivering effective paid and organic campaigns across a wide range of channels, working with a media agency to refine and optimise campaign activity. You must be data driven, have experience using reporting tools and presenting data to stakeholders. Stakeholder management and relationship management is essential to be successful in this role.
In return, they are offering a competitive salary up to c£40,000 (DOE) plus excellent benefits and hybrid working options (2 days on-site, 3 days from home).

Your new role
Responsibilities:
Review daily discrepancies in merchandise, freight, and duty between vendor invoices and purchase orders/accruals generated from the auto-match system. Resolve these discrepancies promptly to ensure accurate and timely vendor payments.Perform weekly reconciliation of duty accruals with HMRC statements.Process miscellaneous invoices.Investigate vendor claims by liaising with buyers and warehouses. Log and track claims, ensuring proper authorisation for payments.Maintain daily communication with vendors, buyers, and warehouse/depot personnel to address vendor claims and respond to queries.Conduct monthly reconciliation of vendor statements, proactively resolving any outstanding discrepancies.Provide support to the AP manager/supervisor in training and guiding vendor service clerks across several countries.Assist with period-end tasks, including preparation of allocated journals.Collaborate with the Account Payable supervisor and manager on ad-hoc tasks.
